No, of course not. That is a silly question, Pancha. Why can't you see that people can be AGAINST "illegal immigration" and still be all FOR "legal immigration?" Of course, intelligent people understand and know that immigration is good for our country because it injects our nation with new ideas and new cultures and makes everything much more interesting. Intelligent people know that, Pancha. But, also, we know that unregulated immigration is bad for our country and affects our citizens negatively because of many reasons such as the fact that more poor people come into the country illegally and they will be a drain on our society just because they are poor. Poor people are less educated and so they have unlimited numbers of children that they can't afford and so the rest of society end up supporting these children, financially. We have the right to monitor and limit our immigration based on what our country needs and can afford. We also do understand that even poor people have future benefits to the country because their children will often strive harder to do better in the future, but without unregulated immigration, we can end up putting our country down the drain and become like the third world countries that these illegal immigrants come from. Then, when our country is like theirs, we will no longer be a help to them or to ourselves. How will that help anyone, in the long run, Pancha?

I can see from your question you will never get it. I mainly am against illegal immigration in the USA. But you will never put that "illegal" in front of that immigration. The whole point of the arguments is that they broke the law and want a free pass. If you are I was to break a law today for the gain of our children or life we would still go to jail, so with that said congress should up hold our laws on every thing.

The only reason they are not is because of the big business. They control congress and congress knows that to enforce those law will hurt businesses in USA. So who would benefit more for these law Americans because we will not work for under wage jobs.

I think we are putting the cart before the horse.

It is hard to encourage legal immigration when we are being over-flooded with illegal immigration. Let's plug the leak and talk sensibly when the number doesn't change on an ongoing basis.

No, I don't want to stop immigration. However, if we give amnesty to screened illegals, we will still have failing schools and services in our border states that will need to recover. We will need to make sure any increase in future immigration beyond our current legal rates provides for impacts to those services.

Developers pay 'impact fees' to schools and employers could do that - but it would need to fit the situation.

I think first we need border security and to get the employer database to the point where we can actually screen employees. That will give us time to discuss the shape and protections for any increase in legal immigration.

The huge problem is and historically has been that the funds go to corporations, and to some extent to the federal government, but don't at all pay for local impacts on education and services. That needs to be addressed.

You can't. Unless you are 100% American Indian, you are either an immigrant or the descendant of one!
I would love to see something put into place to stop the illegal immigration, Though!

Absolutely not. My family immigrated here generations ago, so it would be hypocrytical of me to say that no one else should be allowed in. I am against ILLEGAL immigration. My family came here legally, and so should others. Illegal immigrants whether you accept it or not, are criminals. I don't want more criminals here. Nor should we cater to these criminals.
I see you making the same illogical points and constantly pushing your agenda on everyone else while ignoring what people are really saying. Most of the people who are against illegal immigration are not against immigration, they just want people to come here legally and pay taxes like everyone else and become functioning members of society rather than a burden on the rest of us. Why does everything have to be absolute with you?

Nope legal immigration is great....it is the illegal aliens here in our country that need to leave...let them go home and apply to come back the legal way.....some people have waited a long time just to immigrate here. Why should somebody who broke the law or many laws get to stay?

I do not object to LEGAL immigration but I do object to people who sneak in illegally. Have you thought about the problems the illegals end up having? If they are raped, stolen from or beaten, they cannot go to the police without being deported. Many just suffer in silence and are used in the drug trade because they have no choice.

There are some in the Americas who believe that immigration should have ended in 1492.

Yes. Because of extreme abuse of our immigration system, we need about 10 years of zero immigration in order to safely absorb those who are hear now. Far longer if we plan to offer amnesty to the illegals.
