definitely.....the Aviation Museum (watch the movies, as well); The Holocaust Museum; the Natural History Museum the Smithsonian; The Capitol. The Arlington Cemetary - Changing of Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Take a picnic, on a nice day, and sit on the grass in the mall and watch the world go by. Vietnam Memorial and the other War Memorials. Go to a concert or show. We lived nearby for 7 years and never, ever got tired of visiting our Nations Capitol -we especially loved going to these places when it was snowy. At Christmas time, go see all the lights and the Xmas Trees that represent every State......
And don't forget to go to Chinatown - start in front of the Chinese Gate - eat, visit shops, etc.
The concerts on the Mall. If they still do it, tour the Pentagon.
I could go on forever...but you are lucky! Enjoy and take it all in.

most definitely! I've lived here practically my entire life (i'm thirty-something :) and I still discover new stuff. Be sure to visit attractions off the Mall, like the Anacostia Museum, Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens, and the National Arboretum.

Absolutely. I lived here for 17 years before I ever visited the Ford's Theatre. I think that all of us would be wise to hop on a tourmobile from time to time and reacquaint ourselves with our city. We take for granted the rich history of our city, the beautiful architecture, and the nice neighborhoods that we are surrounded by. GO FOR IT!

Yes, just don't get off anywhere on the Green line. There's nothing for tourists there.
