When an individual consumes a total of 3500Kcal more than their body metabolizes they will GAIN 1 pound of weight. That is a fact of metabolic physiology.
You will gain muscle mass and strength with aerobic exercise combined with light to moderate weight training and resistance work. Aerobic exercise of at least 30min. duration at least every other day will burn fat (adipose tissue). You need to work consistently for a minimum of 6-12 weeks to show a weight loss.
You did not give your ht., wt., or build. Consult an exercise physiology text book. Much research was done in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Germany in the 1940's to the 1990's. San Diego State University has a great program in Exercise Physiology and Applied Nutrition.

If any weight is gained, it will be lean muscle mass (the best kind of muscle mass). With that exercise, it will probably gain some muscle mass, depending on your current weight and physical fitness ability. Your exercise sounds great. You aren't eating to many calories so that will make sure of no fat gain. I would reccomend watching the number of grams of fat and also the amount of carbs. Fat and carbs are two main factors contributing to gaining weight (along with calories). I hope this information is a benefit to you and good luck with your goals.

You won't lose weight as Muscle weighs more than fat so if you increase muscle bulk then you will gain weight. The best thing to do is do a lot of CArdio work in the gym to lose the fat then start the protein when you have lost the fat

as long as you are exercising but try this Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

Whey protein is simply a dairy product. Look on the bottle of whey to see the servings and calories. It's just like any other food product. YOu need protein to rebuild muscle after ripping them up in the gym. It has calories just like any else.

I found that drinking it immediately after my work-out not only helped me build muscle; I ate a lot less because I wasn't starving when I got home from the gym. I lost a lot!
