I am 14, and I have been having extreme pain w/ my period. I have had it for like 2 yrs. Every time I get it, I get sick, feel like I am gonna puke unbarable back pain, "curl up in a ball" stomach pain. Whenever I get it I am out of school for the whole thing and am in bed unable to keep anything- the only thing that doesnt make me puke is water. The pain meds the doc gave me r not working, and the past 2-3 times I have had my period, I passed out a few times from the pain. Any advice will help!

Have you tried a heating pad on your stomach? I used to take a Stanback Powder and two Midol along with the Heating pad.

You may have a cyst.I think you need to see your doc again and get some answers.Tell him how bad the pain actually is. In the mean time...Take Naproxen(Aleve)and use a hot pad(a hot towel from the dryer will work if you don't have a heating pad).I wish you the Best!♥

My daughter was this way as well. Throwing up, curled up in a ball, no pain meds helped, even perscription. If you have never been to the gynecologist, its time to start! Have your mom make an appointment. They will probaly put you on the Pill, it will help you with the pain and very bad periods.
Good luck

Sounds like me a few years ago.
I know that you are young and the thought might be unappealing to you. Have you been to see a Gynecologist? It sounds like you might have cysts on your ovaries, and they can prescribe meds to get rid of the cysts and lighten your menstruation...also the pain goes away. Pain meds aren't fixing the problem, they are like putting a band-aid on an open-heart surgery.
Talk to your mom about it.

One of my friends used to get really bad cramps just like you (worse actually; she couldn't even drink water w/out throwing up) and the only thing she found that really helped was going on birth control so she could better regulate her cycle.
You should go consult a gynecologist, not just a general physician/pediatrician.

Please discuss the possibility of Endometriosis with your OBGYN. You may also look for the website of the Endometriosis Association. It sounds like a good possibility for what you are describing. There are great treatments out there these days that really do help! They worked for me and I've been virtually pain free for 6 years! Good Luck!

I use to be the same way the Dr had to give me a shot and knock me out.You might try a heat pad, warm bath.See if your mom can maybe talk with your Dr about other options.Alieve or Advil might
help too.for your upset tummy try sips of warm 7up or coke.

You may try this drink mixture.
Add one table spoon of blackstrap molasses (can get it from any organic shop), a small piece of ginger to a glass of warm water.
Drink it everyday 3 days before and during period.

Massages on the stomach help ease the pain. Deep breathing is another release. Peace be with you. Acupuncture has been known to help also.
