Sickle cell trait is the common term for a sickle cell carrier.A person does not have enough iron in the body for making red blood cells.

One of my best friends died from Sickle Cell a few years ago, well it was more like complications from Sickle Cell. It is a terrible disease. She had two children, and one of them has the trait while other does not have the trait. The father of her children does not have the disease nor the trait.
