Here's the deal Jeff. We go to work with a crack marketing team ( I can have them assembled in twelve hours ), start with radio spots and move quickly into television. The key is controversy, free air time, remember no press is bad press as long as they spell the name correctly. I'll be happy to address the details if you can come up with a Son of God. We can do a sixty forty split, I'll want the large end cause I'm doing all the work; you just keep our new J.C. in line and we'll all get a taste. I'll make some calls right now and see when we can get on Larry King.

Easy!
Simply fulfill all the prophecies about the particular messaih you claim to be, say, the biblical messiah needed to live up to over 300.
Oh, listen and talk to God more than anyone else, sharing the things he tells and applying them to your life, without fear or qualm... Love people and treat them as equal whatever their status, eg:president of the world or homeless blanketman,
Heal those who come to you, -inside and out and do miracles, (very important this one) get people to turn away from anything that puts distance between them and God, forgive them and help them to forgive each other, and make social justice your alltime hobby.

Well, if you've ever watched The Life of Brian, you'll know that the true messiah denies his divinity. Does that answer your question?

LOL!! The messiah won't have to declare it, when he comes, believe me, we'll know it.

I'm not the Messiah, so the question is moot.

.....false christs and false messiahs are one of the signs of the end times--don't worry; when the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords returns ( and it will not be long )--the whole world will know ---FOR HE WILL RETURN IN GREAT POWER AND GLORY!!!

that's exactly why Jesus told his followers to keep it a secret.
he did most of his good deeds in secret, asking people not to flaunt Him as the Messiah.
it was not until after a certain time that He asserted Himself as the Son of God.
