While God is perfect, religion is not.
I struggle to have faith in a human institution to help me open my heart to God. And I struggle with The Bible for a variety of reasons. And I struggle to let God help, to not feel like I have to take on all of life's struggles all by myself.
Why go to church then, if it causes you to question? Why read The Bible?
Because I know I can't do it alone. That the way my spirit is opened up while in church is a beautiful feeling. The people, songs, metaphors, and sermons give me peace, and help me be a more compassionate person.
Some days, I don't know why I go to church or read the Bible. But in the end, despite my doubts, I go and I read, and I am better for it.

The hardest thing I struggle with is forgiveness. I know I have to have a forgiving heart but I have a hard time when it comes to one particular person who harmed my children.(sexual abuse) It was my ex husband. He is still walking free the state police here dropped all charges.... I found out the hard way money really does talk. My girls are still suffering from it and will for along time so that is my biggest struggle I deal with.

Self will. As a person has a fight again the flesh and the spirit. The more you feed the spirit and follow what God wants you to do, the more you train yourself to do the will of God.
The more you give into fleshly temptations, you create a weak spirit.

Giving the relationship the time that it deserves. Get so caught up my life and worldly things, that I don't spend the time that I need to cultivating my relationship with God.

I get angry and stressed sometimes. It's beneath me (us all) really. It sucks that the stress can control your life at times. I feel I screwed up the whole day when I can't keep from getting mad. I think it sets me away from God, just alittle.

This one has many answers. But for me its mainly because I have so much trouble finding proof that HE exsists.
Faith is a hard thing, when science answers so many mysteries.
