Why is America such a proud place to live in?

Take a look around you. America offers the absolute most in freedom, technology and medical development. People have the opportunity to be at their very best and live any lifestyle. People of all religious faiths (or no faith) are welcome and revered. There is just so much America has to offer that can't be found in many places around the world. People from everywhere risk their lives to get here. They do that for what America has to offer, a promise of a better life. How many are trying to get to Africa, South America, Asia, China or many, many other places. I'm not saying that we don't have room for improvement, we certainly do. But no place on earth is better.

I have seen first hand many countries. I have heard second hand of many more. I would choose no place else to live.

To those that are not happy here in America, I can not understand why you stay. Wait, yes I do, because America is the greatest place to live, even with the faults you so exhaustively search for.

If you change IS to WAS, then you'd be close to the reality of America in 2006! It WAS a proud place to live, until we stopped enforcing the immigration rules & regulations. Too many people have come to America from other countries & the U.S. has not prepared them to be good citizens of our country...they just had them sign the paper work & let them go, like they knew how to adapt & live in a new country without guideance! It's a part of the "New World Order"! & I think it sucks!
