I am not very religious, but I am waiting. I think that sex is the pinnacle of a relationship and is special enough that the person to whom you give your virginity to is the person that you want to spend the rest of your life with.
I would love to have a wife that waited. I think that personality is more important than bedroom antics. You can learn and change how you act in bed, but you can't change your personality.

not many people wait for marriage---but people do wait for sex.
If you wait, make sure the other person has waited too. Remember that life can take any turn-you may get divorced anyway. Remember that people may "lie", tell you what you want to hear, or not confront the issue.
It is important to note--do not get trapped by a sexual partner. The fear of leaving someone after can be minipulated...don't loose your own power to walk away.

Of course there are, religion is very important to many people. If a man if willing to wait for marriage then they will greatfully respect a women who is doing the same.

well, i think the number of guys who wait is declining. I have a lot of guy friends and most of them lost their virginity around 15-17. But even if a guy does lose it before marriage, i dont think that says anything bad about him...unless he's some kind of whore who gets around a lot.

I personally do not agree with this reasoning...I am not a pig at all!!! I just feel that two people that want to spend the rest of their lives together should see if they are compatible in the bedroom first!!!
People actually get divorced over sex issues...why not get that out of the way first???
