OK. The question I am asking is a little deceptive. When I ask, "Is witchcraft real?", i mean witchcraft in the most spectacular sense. Not like, "can you do a spell to make yourself do well on a math test?", but rather "can you turn someone into a cat?". or something incredible and immediately noticeable. That would be something to see. P.S. If you can turn someone into a cat, I'll pay you to do it. jk

no, it dose not work that way. In the past there were those with spectacular powers. But the burning time destroyed most of that knowledge. There are some shalman who can do things like shape shift and tellport but there is not many of them and most will be gone soon.

Witchcraft, if viewed only in the spectacular sense, can be regarded as a variant of alchemy, where folks don't know how it works, but with trial and error, were able to make some things happen (such as concocting hallucinegenic drugs, but not at all limited to that). Anything that sounds implausible is most likely untruth or folklore exaggerations from something much less impressive.

If one did enough acid, that person might percieve someone turning into a cat. Perhaps this could be misinterpreted and the legend could be made. Most of witchcraft is philosophical but most people just care about the cliches and strangeness so that part gets blown out of proportion.

The spectacular stuff: It's nonsense.

who do you want to turn into a cat?

I bet they'd be a lot happier. The life of a mortal can be so stressful, whereas cats needn't worry about human issues.

Oh, and like the other person said if you wish or spell something bad on another person it will return to you 3 fold. Just a warning

witchcraft is very real, in a very real sense. All paganistic religions, Wiccanism, Druidism, etc are all forms of magical belief systems that are not about "casting spells" but more of a way of life than a "religion".

Sure, let me tell you a story;

Last week, a man I worked with was really getting on my nerves (as he does to everyone else). So I turned to him, waved my hands like they do on 'Charmed', and said, "Turn to S**T!" He had this stupid look on his face, and he couldn't understand why, people were laughing, until someone said, "Look! It worked!" Some say he was already a piece of S**T, but everyone who was there to witness the event gives me credit.

Is this mass hysteria, hypnosis, deciet? You decide what a witch does...

Very REAL, Very Dangerous-- stay away.
