Do you remember what you ate? That has a lot to do with it.

Unless you have pain or other associated symptoms while you urinate I wouldn't worry too much about the color unless of course it has a blood content but that wouldn't be green. Different foods and especially vitamines tint urine so it might also just be something in your diet. If you are really bummed about or concerned after all the answers here then seek out a doctor to see and get his opinion for no other reason than to give you peace. You might also check out WebMD site and put in your symptoms and see what it says.

Along with the things others have already stated, if you eat too many eggs, that could contribute to the greeness as well.

If you've been eating a lot of fatty foods, your liver will produce excessive amounts of bile, which gives your "poo" it's colour to some degree, but since bile is generally a dark green colour, green poo suggests a high concentration of it.

When you say green do you mean green like nature's green? Grass and leaves colour? Or do you mean fluorescent evil radioactive green?

Stool colour is determined by diet. I really wouldn't worry unless it were white or red or black. Red or black can indicate bleeding along the digestive tract, and white is just bad, very bad. Eating toxic poisonous mushrooms can cause whit stool. Although sometimes red is caused by eating foods with lots of red dye and black can be caused by the pink bismuth (peptobismol) solution.

So, if it's a "natural green" colour I'd say you're probably fine. Are you experiencing any other symptoms? Pain? Gas? Difficulty releasing? If it looks like radioactive evil green, then see your physician.

The following foods are notorious for making green poo -

Fruity Pebbles
Oreos
Anything with blue or purple food coloring - especially cake frosting

Change your diet to remove anything that is artificially colored and the problem will resolve in 24-48 hours.

If you eat lots of green veggies, your poop will be green.
If you take chlorophyll capsules, your poop will be black-green. Eating lots of blueberries also results in poop that's greenish, with some black or purple tinges (the purple pigment mostly changes to green in your bowel). Beets come out magenta--just like when they went in. Eating lots of dairy products at once can lighten it to a yellow-white color.

Poop color mostly derives from the bile that your liver produces (usually, it's yellow to brown). However, whatever you eat also affects the color, texture, and content of your poop.

OTOH...if you have nasty green MUCOUS coming out of there, you might have some sort of a bacterial or parasitic infection, and you should get it checked out.

Mine does that sometimes, like if I have not eaten very much or if I was just in the hospital and got dehydrated. Have you changed your diet lately? Certain foods can be causing the "poo" to change color.

sounds like you need a doc; if it's very soft, then you might have diahrrea (and some kind of virus/bacteria) Get a doctor's opinion for that, but green is not a good color for poo
