That is a really excellent question, Manda, and I will be glad to help with some advice.
I would like to elaborate on the first person's answer. Yes, worship music is a very good motivator to get into the word of God and in prayer. If you get some annointed worship music going it tends to pull you out of the fleshly need to do mood into the spiritually seeking God mode.
Although, music is just a side motivator. The supreme motivator for worship of God is the love of God which is alive in the hearts of ALL His children.
If you are a CHRISTian, which I sincerely believe that you are, then this motivator of love and worship is inside you right now. And I can see that you earnestly want to seek God. But, it sounds like you are having a hard time because something is clouding it.
This is common with many CHRISTians, especially with the hassles of modern life. My advice for clearing out the clouds that block your worship is to get back to your roots, the love of God.
If you feel like you HAVE to worship just because God wants you to, that makes it harder to worship. But when you get in touch with the part of yourself that really WANTS to worship God then the experience is easier and even more fulfilling.
The same goes for reading the Bible. If you read because you feel God has commanded you and will be mad at you if you don't then it's hard to read the Bible and you will get pulled further and further away in condemnation. But if you read because you want to get in touch with the spirit part of yourself that wants to know more about God then you will do it more often and you will get more out of it.
So get back to your roots which is Jesus Christ the savior who has made you a new creation. Whenever you think, "I have to read my Bible!" and you get that negative feeling, instead associate it with the goodness and grace of God. REMIND yourself who God is and what He has done for you. Dwell on what is GOOD and RIGHTEOUS. Think of His love and what His son did on the cross. This will bring out the spirit part of you that truely desires to be with God. Seeking God will become natural just like eating. When you are hungry you will eat.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
So get back to your roots. Get back to the love of God that He has put into you.
In some rare situations people have bondage and walls that are keeping them from getting back to the roots and foundation of Jesus Christ and hinders them from any spiritual activity (IE: Praying). If this is the case for you (only you and God will know) then I would consider doing either a complete fast or a Daniel's vegetable fast. This can help break down those walls of hinderance.
Also, meet with people at least a couple of times a week for prayer. Either in real life or online. By meeting together with others of like passions it will help draw out your desire to pursue God more.
If I had to reccomend any time of day to set aside for quiet time, I would have to say first thing in the morning. Because if you start to do things during the day it becomes easy to get carried away and to forget that you even wanted to have quiet time.
But remember, even our mundane life can be filled with worship. Being diligent honest workers is a form of obedience to God and is worship. Being thankful during the day is worship. Just NOT sinning when you could is worship. So remember these things!
I am glad that you want a deeper relationship with God and I pray that He continues leading you in that direction. May the peace of God be with you in the name of Jesus!

A way to start and make it habit - is find a time that is already quiet in your day and use it - then as distraction comes about, have pen and paper ready to write down the distraction and discipline yourself to return to the quiet. It is not easy to do, but once you have developed it, you will long for it more than any other part of your day. When I was working, it was actually the 2nd 15 minute break of my day. Now, it is usually in the morning and in the late night - and it last from a moment of genuine time of quiet to an hour or sometimes two - God has truly blessed me through this illness to utilize the time.

Maybe quiet time isn't for you. Meditation isn't something that is all important. The most important thing is to just relax throughout the day.
I'm not a big meditation fan myself. I find that I feel better if I just work on calming myself throughout the day.
Mostly I try to think of any situation I am in through an observers eyes. I emotionally divorce myself from what is going on and look only at the facts at hand.
This reduces my stress because I'm not worried about the small stuff. Many times when my emotions are involved I worry to much about getting everything prefect.

I have quite time to myself everyday for about thirty minutes. I go for walk and I just enjoy the nature without thinking about the routines or things I need to do. After my walks I really feel relaxed and highly energetic. I feel motivated to do my work.I have my walks in mornings. Then I feel motivated throughout the day.

well, i have two things that i do in my life that are both really helpful...
i'm a student and each day before school a bunch of CHRISTain friends and i get together to pray. this is a great way to start a day, but it can be really difficult to pull myself away from my other friends.
i also do a devotional and prayer time at night before i go to bed. when i'm really tired, it can be hard, but i have taught myself to put that before sleep, also i now have problems falling asleep w/o it.
find other great times just for prayer and time w/God. i used to like pe, when we would run or i would play outfield in softball. another great one is while cleaning the house, or doing chores. you don't have to have your eyes closed to pray. also, music helps...A LOT.

I just know that I need to sit and quiet and study God's Word. I need it and He expects if of me. That is my motivation. My time is generally in the evening. There is always something to do, you just have to prioritize.

I struggle with it too, but I find that right after dinner works best for me. As motiviation, have a friend keep you accountable to your quiet times, and you to hers or his.

I have been in your shoes. Pray and ask God to give you the desire and motivation to do it.
Even better. Do it whether you want to or not. God will speak to you and it will become something you crave everyday.
