Actually, Baal, Osiris are all variations on the legend and story of Nimrod, the grandson of Cush. He was the Great-great grandson of Noah, an African and the FIRST King in all the World. He married Semiramis a prostitute who had herself declared a virgin, who gave birth to a son, Tammuz. She had her son sacrificed on December 25th to renew the. This is also where the cross symbol originally came from. Her symbol was the watchtower and a white dove.
However, Nimrod was killed in a hunting accident. He was a mighty hunter and often hunted humans. However he was killed by a large Boar and torn to pieces, Semiramis collected the pieces and buried him. This is where the legend of Isis and Osiris came from (soon after his death is when she gave birth as the virgin mother of god). So, yes, Babylon the bible says was the seat of all false worship, and in the Book of Revelation, it says the Whore of Babylon will be destroyed. Baphomet, Baal, Osiris, while these were all symbols of Nimrod, most people forgot him and simply placed his symbols alongside the many Satans.
I recommend you read The Two Babylons by the Reverend Alexander Hislop, it explains it clearly, i'm confusing even myself. lol

no, Baal and Osiris are considered "other Gods" in the world of Christianity. The bible says "thou shalt have no other gods BEFORE me," not "thou shalt have no other gods" Which leads me to the belief that other gods may exist. Also interesting to note that Satan is a medieval concept, not a universal ever-present one.

The model for the Christian 'devil' came from the Egyptian god Set. Baal was an old god as well and he was tuned into a demon by Christianity.

False gods actually, but if there was a manifestation of either of them or anything else claiming to be a god (apart from Jesus Christ, God the Father or the Holy Spirit) then it would be of demonic origin, masquerading as a god.
