The purpose of humanity is NOT to praise God. God does not "need" anything, because there is nothing that God cannot be do or have. And there is certainly not any war (ie: with satan) that God cannot win. Satan does not exist except as a creation of early humanity to explain away such things as famines, disease, death, pestilence and natural disasters until science evolved enough to explain these events.
We are here so that God can experience God's self.
God is absolute. In this state there are no contradictions and no relativity. Everything is constant, absolute.
There are no temperature fluctuations, for instance. How would you know it's hot, if you never experienced cold? How would you know you're tall, if you never saw someone shorter than you? How would you know love if you never experienced hate or fear?
God knows what God is, but the knowing of a thing and the experiencing of it are two entirely different things. For example you know what ice cream is, but experiencing the taste of it is different (and SO much better) than just intellectually knowing that it is frozen cream and sugar.
God created life as we know it so that God could experience God's self in the world of relativity through us, who are each an individuation of the whole.
God does not judge us for our actions...after this physical incarnation ends we will return to the spiritual dimension and decide if we want to stay or experience another physical incarnation.
This is how we serve God.

God made man to love Him by choice. He created man, placed Adam and Eve in the garden in order to physically walk with them. That closeness "seared their souls" with the knowledge that He exists.
He created Satan to provide spiritual gravity. If we take our eyes of God, we WILL move towards Satan, just like an apple falls every single time we drop it from 5 feet.
Then he said, "I am the Lord your God, have no other Gods before Me." Then He provided the way to eternal life loving him, but accepting Christ as your personal savior.
Thats the whole story and the good news. God is God, whether you love him or not. He provided everything, all you have to do is believe the the sacrifice Christ made on the cross was for your personally.
Its a bigger answer than I can get my mind to construct a response other than to say, "Thank God for the love He has shown mankind."

God did not need to create man, God wanted to create man. God does not need man. God is always God even without man or angels.

God is not alone he is 3 in 1, a community. He is still God whether, humans are around or not. However you are correct in that humans sole purpose is to worship God and have fellowship with him.

The purpose of why we exist is to love and give glory to God. We screwed everything up and ruined our closeness to God when Adam and Eve gave into sin.
sin=separation from God.
Luckily for us, God made a way for us to be close to Him again through His Son Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sin.
Jesus made a way but you have to choose to trust Him or not. This life on earth is pretty darn short and eternity is a long time. You say you don't need God, which indicates to me that you have already found out that He exists. I urge you not to give up on the Lord, He is more than willing to welcome you back into His loving arms at any time if you choose to.
God bless.

God doesn't need us, he wanted us, so he created us. The purpose of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.

God never said, "Praise me". Men said "Praise God"
As for the fact that you don't need God, we undertand that. You need only what you have........nothing!
