The women live much longer in their family. I believe that the Queen will out live Charles ( he has a a couple of nasty falls from horses ) and then William will take the throne. That is unless the people decide to remove the system of royalty like many believe it should. High expense to keep Queen & family with no benefit.

You're joking, right? Sorry, couldn't help myself. Okay, the Queen's a healthy old lady, she's gonna live as long as HER mother, most likely. Long before she dies, she will abdicate the throne to Charles. That is why it was such a big deal that the Royal Family finally gave their approval for him to marry Camilla, because she will be the new Queen when Charles takes over the throne, though she will have little real power - that will fall to Charles of the bloodline.

The Prince of Wales will become king. Right now, the heir apparent of England is Prince Charles.

Queen Elizabeth II's heir apparent Prince Charles, her firstborn, will assume the monarchy in the event of her death (or an unlikely abdication). Then, her firstborn grandson Prince William will do the same when his father dies or adbicates the throne and he will ascend to the position.

it is not even important right now, england uses the prime minister system, not monarchy. the queen of england is for acting, she doesn't really have real power. it is like role playing.

i think when she passes on her heir such as her eldest daughter or her closest cousin or sister will succeed her. and continue on the roleplaying. yeah.
