scared! Anything that is different then their color is somewhat of a threat! I was never raised to be racist! I was raised in a Baptist preachers home (yah, yah a PK) so I was always taught that everyone bleeds the same, Everyone has feelings and everyone hurts. So to me that is why there is so much war, and hate in this world is racist people! Look over seas half of the people that we (the American people) are in war with hate us because we have freedom! Is that not racist? We need to learn to love one another! Like the song goes"come on people love on your brother everybody get together got to love one another right now" How true! LOVE EVERYBODY NO MATTER OF COLOR OR RACE!

As an attempt to protect their own identity, and raise it up, by putting down others they either do not understand or fear. I think everyone has a little racism in them, it just depends to level of how much and how much it dictates their life. Basically it balls down to miscommunications and preset judgments.

people are scared of anything "different" to themselves, their family, their culture.
my advice is to embrace everything new and discover wonderful new things as often as possible. there are scary people in all walks of life - it doesn't have anything to do with race. there are beautiful helpful and wonderful people everywhere.
