What is spiritually wrong with BDSM? Is it an EVIL act from "satan" or "hell"...OR, do you believe that Sado-Masochism is part of our human nature...?? IF it is indeed part of our human nature (we are created in the likeness of God, aren't we??) then why not partake in these kinds of acts??

Within the context of Christianity, the exhortation to the Church is to love one another. The second great commandment is to love your neighbour as yourself. There is nothing in BDSM that is contrary to this.

BDSM is simply an expression of two people interacting with each other. (I know that it can includes more than two, but that's a different issue which I'm avoiding.) When it is a consentual act on the part of both parties, there is no harm being inflicted. (It sound paradoxical, but harm and pain are not one in the same.) No harm means no evil as well as I can see. But is it a sign of love?

From what I understand, it certainly can be. True, for a lot of people, Christian or not, it is repulsive when viewed through their personal perspective. However, for others, including Christians, there is a etheral beauty associated with it as it truly opens up the soul to an intimacy that is not seen elsewhere. Since BDSM is an act of trust between two people, the power of it can be enormous, and in that trust arises a form of love that is almost mystical in nature.

In short, BDSM is not for everyone. However, for those that it is for, there is no evil in it, and thus should not be judged on that alone.

Christians are often sadistic in nature..they love to sting others and play the shame game the sinners! which is undenialbly another feature of sado-masochistic stuff and humiliation etc, so I guess they are all primed-up for BDSM action really.

Bondage doesn't get much stronger than the image of someone nailed to a cross...it's a big part of the Christian culture I'd say but not admitted to openly...but what would I know I'm not a Christian!

As a true Christian, marital acts are designed to enhance the relationship between husband and wife and to model the relationship held within the trinitarian Godhead (Three in One - and two shall become as one flesh). God designed sex acts to be honorable and pleasurable for man and woman together to procreate and thus raise Godly children to expand God's glory on earth, as we were made in His image. To travel the route of BDSM is dishonoring to one another and misusing the gift God designed for pleasure.

In some way, I think the guilt associated with Christianity and feeling like they owe Jesus all their suffering, for his pain on the cross - which, many, many people went through, and I'd wager that many people throughout history have been through worse trials of pain and torture.

That guilt and shame is kind of a form of sado-mascochism, I think it would seem...

I believe, that in a marraige, they can do whatever they want, yes, even that. I don't neccessarily think that it's human nature... I'm not really sure what it is. Some people just like it, and if they are married, then I see no problem with it at all.

Whether they should engage in BDSM or not, they have engaged in it for centuries. Hair-shirts, flagellation and other chastisements of the flesh, along with the tortures of the inquisition seem pretty S&M to me.

You can do what you like with in the bounds of marrage.

If you and your spouce like a little kink in the privacy of your bedroom. I see nothing wrong. If you are wandering outside of the bounds of marrage then you are outside of Gods word and in sin.
