Don't even bother looking at American cars, not only do they look like crap but they run like it too. Save yourself the time and fustration and buy a Toyota or a Honda. You won't be disappointed.

No it's not! My fiance had his for 3 years and had to replace it (with a Ford Focus) because of transmission problems. They are good cars for around town driving but even then they suck! Try a Honda or Toyota, they are more cost effective gas wise and mechanic wise. I've had the same little Toyota Echo for 4 years and it's awesome!!! Only thing I have to do to it maintainance wise is oil changes and tire rotations and gas.

we had a saturn ION 3..omg it was a heap O shiiiiit.. so many problems..on a 2006 also! we turned that POS in within the 30 day period..ill never buy a saturn again!
saturn is the LOW LOW end of GMC products

its not that saturns are unreliable, they're just peices of SHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTT. they're alright for basic transportation, but you wouldnt want to drive one like for 2 days in a row. like all interiors of most GM products, it sucks. a lot.
buy a honda and shutup.
