Actually yes, I'm being discipled daily by Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Just like anyone else I still have many trials to face, and at times have been discouraged. What is awesome though, is that at the times when I almost feel like I'm ready to quit, the Lord enlightens me and my spirit with revelation and a new plateau of understanding. Being a disciple means that you must put forth an effort to be disciplined, a real walk with Christ is going to take you on the highest of highs and at times the lowest of lows. The Apostle Paul said to live as Christ and to die is gain. If you decide to allow the Lord to disciple you, it will be the most fulfilling life you could ever chose. Just be encouraged, never take your eyes off of Jesus, and weather the storm. Because every trial you go through develops your spiritual growth! I'll be praying for you! God Bless!

I went through formal discipling myself when I was a college student with Campus Crusade for Christ. When I graduated I interned with them for two years and received training on how to disciple others, although since most of my ministry was focused on explaining Christianity to non-Christians, I only really discipled one person. I learned enough through those experiences to be able to draw spiritual sustenance directly from the Bible, the Holy Spirit, and the many wonderful Biblical scholars and teachers whose work is available online, on the radio, and in bookstores everywhere.

I am a Christian but I haven't had a personal mentored relationship with someone who intended to make a disciple out of me. That might be neat, though.

TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN

It's a process over time, it's not going to happen overnight. But there are steps to take. First pray and ask the Father into your heart (mind) and life. Ask for change of you. Ask for guidance and direction. Ask for forgiveness of your sins. Do all this in Jesus name (authority).

Come to the reality that as long as you dwell in the flesh body you are going to fall short. All are sinners. Repentance is a change of mind not a license to sin. Perfection is maturity or full age in His Word. We are to produce fruit and glorify Christ.

His Word is an life learning process. Trust this man or no man unless you check it out in His Word. I've been at it earnestly for 16 years. I'm producing fruit but feel I'm still in the process. Don’t clean house (clean up your act) without filling that void with the Word of God.

Luke 11:24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.
Luke 11:25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished.
Luke 11:26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.

By the way, born again means born from above, check it out.

Hello,

I don't know who is disipling you and I hope it isn't a cult. Check everything out by the Bible and if you have questions, ask others that are not in that group. I wish I knew what denomination it is. Also an easy version of the Bible helped me to understand better. Pray for the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom and disernment:)
