Go to a salon to get it done. Its more costly, but it wont be as harsh on your hair. 50vol is too strong!
If you are really wanting to do it yourself, then you should try using 20-30vol, and doing it 2-3 times.
Im not sure what your hair colour is now, but its also dependant on what colour is already in there.
IF you have any previous colours in there, any shade of red, is especially hard to bleach out of the hair, and can leave it looking pink, no matter how hard you try.
Best not to buy the toner until you know what colour you end up with. As a toner does just that... tones. So if you have a pinky tones, you are going to need ash based toner, too yellow needs a silver/blue based toner etc etc.
Only apply to the midlengths and ends first, and wait for it to come down in colour before adding it to your roots. Otherwise if it's spent too long on your scalp you could get serious scabs, and super white roots and orangey yellow midlengths and ends.
I should stress though, that it really is best for you to go to a salon, and get it done properly, its not exactly a super fast job to do, and not something I would recommend you to do by yourself.

Hi, I strongly advise you to do it in the salon. Bleach is very different than any other color, it is very easy to burn your hair. Even if you somehow (lucky day) manage to do it yourself, it won't look professional, it is very noticeable, trust me. If money is an issue for you, salons offer a service when you can only highlight little parts of you hair (just several foils), it will bring out your best face features, make a fashion statement and add to your hairstyle. I am a hairstylist and I wish you all the best.

one. bleching your hair ruins your hair big time. it makes it feel bad and look either greasy or split ends and, well just plain nasty so don't do it....or your hairs going to suck.
