can we forget everything we've been taught about how the church is supposed to be? shatter our ideas of what a church is. we need to be barbaric for Christ. we need to rekindle our flames and have a passion for God.
be real with God. if you're real with Him, He'll be real with you. we also need to humble ourselves or He'll humble us Himself.

if you really want to know what i mean by be barbaric read The Barbarian Way by Erwin Mcmanus. that's where i'm coming from. don't let it replace God's word, but it's a good book and it's not that big.

Barbaric? No. We have order in the church therefore God commands a spirit of excellence and freedom. We are the church. We are the body of Christ. There are some Christians who are like Martha as a servant but some Christians are as Mary sitting before God which is a true example of how we should be for as the church-Christ's Bride!

There is only One True Church. The Church of which Jesus The Christ is Head... And the rules are God's Word From The Word.
No man doctrin or dogma may dictate the relationship of God to the believer.

First, start with not going to church anymore! Why, they tell you all these things that are unbiblical. e.g. Tithing, totally old testament! It had nothing to do with money. In those days the tithes consisted of grains and the like...
Second, where did it say that the offertory is followed by the sermon and the sermon is followed by the lets go home and avoid that loser in aisle 4!
Lastly, lets do our best to do works for God, so that he can react by giving us brownie pts.! Pathetic!

I like what you wrote but I also would like you to explain a bit more what you meant by "barbaric". Thank you for posting this.
OH YEAH! The ORIGINAL definition of "barbarian"! I remember now! Yes, you are one hundred percent right. But do you have some pointers?

I can only follow you (and your suggestion) to the extent that you are following Christ. I believe we must stand up for Him, but He was not "barbaric" as I understand the word.
I will agree that each of us should pursue becoming His likeness with everything in us.

If you have been Born-Again, YOU are part of the CHURCH (the BODY of CHRIST on EARTH). Where we gather and assemble in the Name of JESUS dosen't really matter. If it is in a Building, we should quit calling that building a church, cause it ain't. We are the CHURCH. Born-Again Children of GOD.Body of CHRIST. That building named church has seperated us from each other for too long.

I like your enthusiasm, not your idea though, if you are going to start a revolution, don't start it against the church, try to set the church on the right path again, the church should go strictly by the Bible.

"barbaric for Christ?" Maybe you should look that word up in the dictionary.
