If you like him...go out with him. In the long run...your romantic happiness is more important than the job you have at 17. Not saying you shouldn't take your job seriously....but.....seriously.

Many companies have a policy against that or married people both working at the same company or the same shift. There is a reason for that - it interferes with your work. Even if it didn't affect your work once you started going out with your manager, it would be awkward at work if it ended badly. Are you even sure there is a genuine attraction there, or is it just because you are together for work? In any case, I would advise against it.

Legally, due to your age being under 18, I fear the courts would say it is statutory rape, even if an intimate relationship developed between you.
You should not go out with him. That's career suicide, and your co-workers would not think very highly of you for it. Do you want to get ahead in life on your merits, or for sleeping with the boss? Even if you don't sleep with him, you are sending a bad message that you would be the type to try and 'get ahead' by dating the boss.

I would tell him you are not interested, and it could very well get you both fired. If this guy is someone you are interested in dating, and if the job is not a big deal, quit and then you can date him safely without getting either one of you in trouble. Him being older than you is only a big deal because you are underage. It's your choice, make it wisely. Good luck!

Definitely not. He should know not to do that. Just think of how awkward it would be to go out, get involved, and then he breaks it off, or worse, YOU break it off. He will destroy you at work, or at the very least you will both feel stupid.

I have been waiting for my boss to ask me out for years. I am madly in love with him but "it is inappropriate" because he is my boss.
