It depends on your Uncles tase and what kind of car it is. If your afraid of the resaults. Tell him to show you it even if it'a a surprise. Or don't let him do it at all.

it would help if we knew what kind of it is but most fords look good in all colers as long is it isnt something that will mess with your attention as for your uncle if its in your name i would say keep tabs on him make sure he doesnt do something you would completely hate if its not your name then give suggestions on what you would like to see whee its done or what you would hate to see
