Good question.....
Where did GOD ever say (in bible etc...) that aside from treating others the way you wish to be treated...and in general be a good caring person....Where does it say you have to attend weekly services.....give a parish money....etc....
Seems a bit suss to me....
I'm happy just being a good person and always doing the right thing.....be caring and understanding and live a happy life without hurting others.....I'm happy without a religion bound by rules and guidelines.....and without being made to feel guilty if I don't contribute $$ towards the collections plate...
As long as I am a good person, and treat others with the s ame respect as I wish to be treated with, then I cant be all that bad - even if I don't go to Church etc.......
But don't get me wrong, faith in something is not a bad thing and I respect all people who believe in all religions....each to their own....no discrimination.....
Just seems weird knowing what I know about different religions, as to why God would want to be worshiped? Does not make sense huh?

God does not Want or Need to be woshipped. He is free of all wants. But in my personal opinion, I think He tells us to worhsip Him because it benefits us--not Him. Think about it. Should we worhsip our homes, our money, our children, or our spouses? These are human and material things that can come and go. But if we worship nothing, except God--who lives forever and loves us infinitely--I think we'll be happier. But thats my humble opinion as a Muslim woman.

When someone tells you that you're beautiful does it encourage or discourage you to seek a relationship with them? How do you feel when someone tells you at your job that you're doing a great job? When someone goes out of there way to do something special for you,. how do you respond? When you love someone, you take the time and try to find different ways to relate that to them, right! God loves you, and he shows you everyday! If you can't see it maybe you have to open your eyes. God just wants you to show him that you love him back, and that you really appreciate the things that he does for you. God Bless!

He wants our love. Worship comes from reverence of the Creator of all things.

God only wants our love. Praise and worship are by-products of our love. Those who choose to serve Him do so out of love, not fear. The only fear we have is doing something that will disappoint Him, sadden Him, or cause Him pain. We serve Him out of gratitude for all that He has done, contunues to do, and will do in our lives. Even our love He does not demand, it is an act of choice. He will accept nothing from us that we do not freely give.

The Christian God created us to be in relationship with Him (a parent-child relationship centered on mutual love).
Worship is our telling God that we love him, and that we hold him in reverence and respect.
Cordially,
John

Just a suggestion: Man needs something to focus his adoration on. Some men focus on money, some on family, some on idology, some on learning, some on industry, some on power. Since man has this need, why not focus it in a direction that's actually good for him.
I have a daughter. She has a need for food. As her parent I want her to focus her attention on good things to eat rather than things that will break her down.
God may also wish for man to focus his attention on him and his character of love and justice. That way man will learn to be like him in that capacity and treat others with love and justice.
In our day of Freudian thinking and "egos" we might be tempted to think of God as one that has a fragile ego that needs constant reassuring. This is surely not the case.
Good question.

Allah the Almighty created us and confer so many hymns to us. In quran Allah the Almighty says: if you wanna count the blessings of Allah the Almighty, you can not.
Right starting from our breath, we enjoy countless blessings of Allah the Almighty in a single hour.
Tell me what do we do with a guy who help us in our difficult times, We pay gratitude.
So what should we do with Allah the Almighty who is helping is thousands of time in a hour.
Allah the Almighty says, if you want to pay gratitude to me for my blessings, just follow the commandments of mine.
Don't make anything share in my oneness
Pray five times a day
Pay a specific part of your wealth to poor
Go to the house of Allah the Almighty and do pligrimage.
This is so easy to do. This is all we call worship of Allah theAlmighty.
This is not that we are doing something for Allah the Almighty but we try to pay gratitude to him.
