you all have very inspireing quotes and even though we are of different beliefs they should all be implemented into our daily life. if we could do this (all of us) we would truley have an enlightened society and a much more pleasant planet to live.

My long term favorite is:
It's better to be kind, than right.
I got it from a preacher named Jamie Buckingham

"The measure of a minds evolution is its ability to accept the unacceptable."
I read this quote in the book "2150 AD" by Thea Alexander in 1975 (I was 10 years old). I have never forgotten it and it is still my favorite quote. Quite deep if you think about it.
Two other favorites came from my parents.
"The worst thing in life is to look back and wish you had tried." My mother
"You always need something to look forward to." My father

Good Quote. but.
My friend. Listen carefully. If a person chooses the wrong religion out of sincerity. They are still just as sincerely wrong.
There is only ONE BODY, ONE SPIRIT, ONE CHURCH.
There are several several, different religions in here that think everybody who acknowledges God in any way, is safe.
That is NOT, what the Word of God teaches.
Good Luck. Happy 4th.

I'm a Christian. You are an atheist. Your grandfather was right on.
I used to tell my kids,"You never lose till you quit"
The Bible has one I've always admired and often thought of in dark times. Just four true words. "This too shall pass"
Just thought of another from my favorite novel, "Illusions" by Richard Bach. It goes this way, "Argue for your limitations and they are yours"
One thing came from that book that became quite famous for awhile. It went "Take what you love and set it free. If it returns to you, it is yours. If not, it never was."

Psalms 37:9-11: "For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

The Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings be upon him) said: None among you will be a truthful believer till he likes for his brother or for his neighbor that which he loves for himself.

My father would say, " God is not much for pretty, but he is none for ugly."
My grandmother would say," now you have to do it as the Lord would want you to."
Grandad said, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
