What? You're making too many generalizations in that statement.
Republicans and Conservatives do not go hand in hand. Where does this idea of the religious right come from?
I'm Conservative, NOT religious, and only a registered republican because it's the current party most in line with my beliefs. However, I don't agree with a lot of things the republicans are doing, but disagree more with liberal policies.
Conservatives believe in "conserving" the basic principles upon which are country was founded. Meaning less federal government mostly, and leaving legislation to the individual states. At least that's my belief. I couldn't possibly explain it all to you in the space allotted. My knowledge has come from several years of study at the undergraduate and graduate level, and observation. I do hope you do a little more research, and not believe everything you hear on the news, or from the school system.
Government ran institutions are inefficient. Many times environmental legislation has caused more harm to the environment. Take MTBE for one example...if you aren't familiar, do the research.
Please, please do some research before making sweeping generalizations.....or get a job.....and see how much of you hard earned paycheck is taken out for taxes that go into the "general fund" and into the pockets of wealthy Democrats.
Ok...I read your profile...you're a baby boomer? So, you have probably worked before, if not currently...
There's a fundamental difference between Conservatives and Liberals which will never be resolved. So, we are just going have to disagree. Both types of people are similar, so please be just when speaking of Conservatives.
The fundamental difference, as I believe, is that: Liberals believe in their hearts that Government is good, and will make the best choices for the people. Where, Conservatives believe decisions are better left at the individual level.
Now....Democrats and Republicans....that's a whole other issue....politics, money, and power are involved. Too bad.

No I haven't noticed that at all. But I do notice how narrow-minded it is to say that "Republicans hate" and "Democrats spread love and peace." Wow. Who's hating here?
I'm conversative and I do quote the Bible, because I live by the Bible. I don't believe I have ever quoted Karl Rove however. You assume you "know" what all Republicans think and feel, but you are as wrong as I would be if I said all Democrats are looking for government handouts.

I disagree totally. There are certainly conservatives that fit your description as there are democrats that fit your description and idea of them however both parties and positions have certainly wonderful and decent people as well as their bad apples. If you believe that Conservatives are full of hate someone has misled you. Democrats would love for you and many more to believe that lie just like Republicans would have you believe every Democrat is unpatriotic, dope smoking, taxing and liberal. Also there are politicians that follow party lines without deviation on both parties. The danger is when you accept that one party is nothing but a certain slant. Check out the INDIVIDUAL and see what they believe and the positions they back. You should never find someone you totally agree with but you will find many that you identify with and to those give your support. I used to be a Democrat and also used to be a Republican. I am an independent and I vote or have for both parties in the same election for different offices though. Who is really worse the people that conform to the description you presented of conservatives or republicans or the people that would have you believe that everyone is the same?

Hey ... all conservatives aren't bad. We do have some war mongers in office and they're supported by other republicans. That's politics.
Part of the problem started with right wing radio talk shows. Many of these Conservatives are just theatrical performers. They say outrageous things to make the phones light up ... and to get Democrats on the line so they can cut them off and have the last word. It's performance art that the right has bought into. It's too bad. A lot of older folks listen to this garbage and they're in the highest percentage of voters.

Of course, only the Democratic party is morally just. All other parties just haven't seen the light. Can't you realize that there are haters in both parties and no one party is to blame? Take Michael Moore on Americans:
"They are some of the dumbest people on the earth"
or Al Franken:
"Rush Limbaugh is a big fat idiot"
by the way, I was not quoting either from the Bible, nor Karl Rove.

Can't say I've noticed that. I"m conservative and I don't use the Bible for reasoning because i'm agnostic and I don't even know who Karl Rove is.
I did notice that liberals often recite things from the news and seem to have no education on world history.

The only hate I am sensing lately is hate from the liberals to conservatives. I mean if you think about it, John Kerry was representing the "peaceful liberals" but it was the kerry supporters punching the bush supporters in the face for no good reason what-so-ever.
Oh, and every president normally reads from a script written by someone else when doing public speaking, that is how it is done.

Do you realize how stupid you sound by asking that question?
You basically make one supposition over another which are false to begin with. Maybe you should ask yourself these questions:
(1) Why do you as a Liberal hate Conservatives?
(2) Why do allow yourself to believe your suppositions without questioning them (and discovering how wrong you are)?
(3) What does Karl Rove or the Bible have to do with Conservatives?
(4) Why can't Liberals debate the issues with Conservatives without eventually having to resort to name-calling when the frustrated by Conservative logic and reasoning?

They tend to be less educated and more gullible towards authority figures such as the government, most of the worlds problems are way too complicated for the majority of them to understand so therefore they go to their right wing propaganda machine, wait for a couple cow patties to pop out and then recite them word for word without thinking, "hmm maybe I should do some research or something instead of just believing it right off without any form of evidence". And when they hear something they disagree with, they just make believe like there is some sort of worldwide conspiracy to make them think differently. I guess that would work for people if the whole world was nothin but woods and swamps and nothing like government or civilisation existed, kinda like people used to be thousands of years ago, in the dark ages, most conservatives nowadays are just people who should have grown up in the dark ages but unfortunately they ended up in the wrong time period. Maybe it's the devil makin life hard for God's people.

This is the biggest bunch of manure I have ever heard. Republicans are tired of paying for every ones free meal. We are tired of the moral-less people who think only of themselves. Lets see you spread peace when everyone wants to kill you for your freedoms. Many Americans have died so you can sit here and complain about all your freedoms. You most likely do not know how the Democratic party was formed - but yet you are the expert. Please post more intelligent questions.
