Effects of depression can come in many different ways. There can be alot of sadness, moodiness, eating when you are not really hungry, crying alot, sheltering yourself from other people
because you are to depressed to be around them or you don't
want to hear about there happiness because you are not happy.
There are alot of other effects but then it starts to get more serious. You can get your doctor to help you. They most likely
will ask if you will like to try a medication for depression or maybe even seek psycological help. Be careful of the different types of meds they will try to give you because they also have some effects that may not be so good. So research the different types
of meds. Depression can be caused by any little thing. People
get depressed from things such as not having a job, not having
family members to support them, and alot of other different types of reasons people get depressed. I don't know if you or the person is religious or not but when I get depressed I start talking to God. Just think regardless of what is so depressing that everything is going to be allright!

The causes of depression are many and varied. Everything from a sucky childhood (and that includes everythig from cold parents to abusive ones to being bullied in school) to job or other personal loss to feeling socially isolated. It can be a result of a chemical imbalance that often runs in families. There can be other physical causes such as undiagnosed hypoglycemia. Or many of these things can run together.

Some of the symptoms of depression include:
- isolating yourself
- sleeping too much or too little
- nightmares
- eating too much or too little
- anxiety
- somatic (physcal) symptoms that cannot be explained. these are REAL
- loss of interest in things that used to be fun
-lack of concentration
-poor sex drive

some depression responds well to medication. some responds well to therapy. most depression works well with a combination of the two treatments. since it usually doesn;t happen overnight unless it was the result of a trauma it probably won't fix itself overnight.

less sleep, poor meals an example is a meal lacking the 6 classes of food, fatigue, stress, thinking alot, children..these i think are the causes of depression. and for the effects of depression, i would say it affects mostly the internal coordination of the body. Can cause high blood pressure, heart failure, kidney failure and believe it or not. It true...it can cause much worse than these.

Where to begin... where to begin... you do not enjoy the same interests as you did previous to the depression. Very emotional... there are alot of things that can be identified as depression. Sometimes nothing could bring smile to your face. There are many causes to it... a death, losing a friend (not necessarily to death...)

It's a chemical imbalance.
It's miserable: No energy, sadness, unclear thinking, misery, your body hurts and you don't want to get out of bed.
