My mom told me to give up on one of my closest friends cuz he is a jerk to me and she is friends with his mom. And she told me that I don't have friends cuz I don't wanna hang out with them all the time. She also tells me when I get to a C in a subject she freaks out and tells me I am going to fail.

she wants the best for u and i know u dont wnna hear that right now but its the truth now wait does this good friend of urs really treat u bad? mayb he does but u dont realize it sum ppl have to listen to others most of the time they dont realize their mistakes so easily and about those C's work harder ur mom thinks since ur capable of a c ur capable of failing shes ur mom she wants u too be good and stuff its okay dont freak

not everybody is a straight a student, i think mom is being a little hard on u and needs to let up a little. Be friends with who u want, but if someone is being a jerk all the time to u why would u want to be there friend i dont get that, moms arent always gonna like all your friends

OH YEA iTS NORMAL. MY MOM iS THE SAME WAY. SHE WiLL GO AHEAD AND iNViTE A FRiEND OVER FOR THE NEXT WEEKEND OR SOMETHiNG, RANDOM LiKE THAT WiTHOUT ASKiNG ME FiRST; SO THEN iM LEFT TO MAKE UP AN EXCUSS FOR WHY i JUST WANT SOME TiME TO MY SELF. Your mother knows prolly a lot more about this person than you do because she is friends with his mom. It is completly normal for a mother to do these things because she wants you to be the best in life that you can be.

It may be normal for her, but it is not not a healthy way to relate to you. Sounds like she has some problems . You might want some counseling to help you cope and maintain your self esteem. Get some support from a healthy adult who affirms your worth.
