Getting error message: internet explorer cannot open the internet site http.//www.my.yahoo.com/.?

Weeeell... you should have http://, not http.//

maybe that's it? Change your . to :

This happened with the new upgrade from MS, mine does it to, so what I did is I have the full http://www.yahoo.com in the search box and then when I open Internet explorer, I just use the drop down arrow and click on yahoo. and it goes there. I think it has something to do with the new format from MS.

You have an extra www in there. Try it like this:

http://my.yahoo.com/
