I had this crush or strong feelings for a guy but we could never see eye to eye and never really dated. At first he used to call after we agreed to be friends but he stopped. I call him maybe twice a year to see how he is doing He seems glad I call and we talk. However after we finish our conversation he says he will call me back. But we both know it is a lie. I never tell him he has to call me. I can not lie I still am attracted to him and do not want to cut ties completely because I care about him too. I gave up on the idea of us ever being in a relationship because we are too different in our views. Also, he is a lot more self-centered than I am. I would love to be friends with him but I am worried he will think I want to hook up and I do not. Its hard for me to not care about him even if he does not about me. I want to listen to my heart but not to screw things up any more.

yes, you can definitely be friends with a crush. I mean think about it, if you have a crush, then you respect them and trust them and care for them just like you would a friend. You may want more than that, but you can very easily carry on a close friendship with a crush. I've done it before many times.

everyone is different most people can be friends with a crush and most people cannot, i am one of the ones that cannot be friends with a crush because everytime i talk to them and they start tellin me about a new girl they have fallen for or even just think if pretty it hurts me. i stopped being friends with ma crushes long time ago, i used to like my cousins best friend for 5 whole years and he liked me too but he kept actin stupid like he didnt then later on i found out he was trying to play me and asked me out i had to say no because i did not want to get hurt but that hurt me, we remained friends but it hurt me everytime he mentioned his new gf, but things happen for a reason, atleast that is what i have learned. good luck and always SMILE!:) it gets u through a hard day!

Tell him what you just told us!! Tell him that you just want to be friends, maybe he's worried that you want to hook up again and that is why he doesn't call that often.

sounds like you need to be a little more true to yourself on exactly what you want, sounds like you want him but you don't want to admit it because the rejection is too much to take.
