No! That is a very old backwater superstition that was started way back when noone understood viruses and the like. It was something that churches would say in order to get money from people. Along the lines of pay this money to stay with the church and your body will not be taken over by the devil and become ill.
However on the flipside it is very well known that people who harbor a massive amount of guilt can become both mentally and physically sick from the burden that they carry around.

Well, sickness and disease were brought into this world as a result of Adams sin. Though, sickness is not necessarily brought upon someone because of sin. Take for instance alcoholism, how many alcoholics do you know that have never drank alcohol. By this I mean something things that happen to us are because every action has a reaction. If you run in the snow in your underwear you would not be surprised if you got sick or catch frostbite. Yet there are sicknesses that are random and just come upon you as chance. Either way, when Jesus went to the cross for our sins, sickness was also overcome and nailed upon the cross with him. By his stripes we are healed! That doesn't always mean we'll make a recovery on this earth from our illness. But to live as Christ and to die is gain. So we have the assurance that whatever happens, if we choose to accept him as our Lord and savior we'll be the picture of health when we get to heaven. God Bless!

Sometimes this is the case. Jesus has said after healing some people, "Go and sin no more or something worse might happen to you."
Other times sickness has nothing to a persons sin which is also evident in the Scriptures when the Apostles asked, "Who sinned his parents or him" referring to a blind man. Jesus said that neither his parents nor him sinned, but this was allowed for the glory of God. I am paraphrasing.
Also Scripture says that you can get sick and even die if you receive Holy Communion (the bread and wine) in an unrighteous manner.

What is the definition of sin and who made it?

Your sickness can be the cause of your carelessness towards your health. That may also been caused by some bacterias attacking through your water or food. You might have eaten some bad food. What your sin has to do with your sickness. SHUN this idea of sinning. Try to leave it within the premises of church only.

No.
But voluntary unhealthy behavior is the main contributor to sickness in this country. 60 % of our population is overweight. True, a few may have an endocrine condition, but most of us keep pounding away the Big Macs and Snicker bars.
Smoking is another culprit, and while we have made gains in reducing this habit, work still remains.

These are just a few examples. If you want to call them sin go ahead. I'm not going to. I find it more a symptom of a bigger problem. A problem that can only be defined as the huge number of people out there who don't love themselves to spend the money, time and effort to do what it takes to bring one's body, mind and spirit back to a state of health.

Just my take

well originally yes. When Adam and Eve sinned, God cursed the world, that is why we have sickness and death.

As far as the individual goes, no, not directly. Now some sins can lead to sickness, such as sexual immorality leading to AIDS, but it is not getting sick because of it being a sin, it is getting sick as a consequence of a sinful act.

since we'r all born in sin and live in a sinful world, all bad stuff is a result of the fallen world, even the best christian can become deathly ill because we still have to live in an unregenerated body. the spirit can be born again and the soul can be renewed but the body has to wait until the ressurection or rapture, so yes we still have to deal with sickness and disorders and handycapps and death.

Bacteria, viruses and genetic abnormalities are the cause of sickness. Well, I suppose various toxins as well. And no, sin doesn't cause any of the aforementioned things, either.

As a non-denominational Ordained Minister who has the the Bible extensively ,I do not believe sin is the cause of sickness.Bad things happen to go people.Sometimes God allows illnesses so that maybe he can work in someones life.Maybe he will heal them so that others will say "It was God that healed that person!"
