Fat, because the condition is totally reversable. An eating disorder is considered a mental illness and is perminant.

well, if you just want to know for the sake of knowing, then I will tel you that being fat is better than having an eating disorder. Of course when I say fat I mean a bit overweight, I don't mean morbidly obese.
however, if you are asking the question so you can choose wich route to take, then I will tell you neither, because the health risks are too many no matter what. If you are somewhat overweight and you feel you are too large, then consult a physician who can reccommend a healthy course of action, such as dieting and exercising. If you are just a little bit overweight but still eat healthy and get exercise, but are thinking of eating disorder as a last resort to get the extra weight off, then consult a psychiatrist, because you really need to accept yourself for the person you are inside, and not out.

The objective answer is fat.
I've seen girls that can look ok up to 200lb even.
The fact is most guys unknowlingly use the formula of if the breasts stick out farther than the stomach the person looks ok. if fat is 3 extra inches on the waste line. Guys always prefer fat to seeing ribs.
If fat is 250 to 300lb and your debating whether you should let yourself go or have an eating disorder, let me recommend letting a doctor or someone at the gym supervise your weightloss or maintenance. Don't talk about what weight you are have them talk about how much you are over or under your target weight. Then have the self discipline not to look at the scale.

It is better to be fat. If you are fat you are not an immediate threat to die. You also can get get a workout routine together that will help you feel better inside and out. You will gain confidence as you are getting more fit because you "look" better. It is a foward progression mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. What more could you want? If you have an eating disorder, you will be damaging your body. A bad physical state will point you in a bad mental state. That might put you in a a bad emotional state..a viscous cycle!

From experience, eating disorders are hell, im in my 4th day of recovery from an a typical eating disorder, in the form of anorexia, but both being larger and having an eating disorder are unhealthy, but if you just eat healthy and stay fit. But i understand sometimes its harder then that, some people take comfort by eating to much, then others by not eating enough.
Its best to seek professional help.

I am fat, and it's better than an eating disorder. Fat is physical, eating disorder is mental and much, much harder to get rid of.

If you're overweight or "fat" as you said, you do either have an eating disorder or you have hypothyroidism or some other disorder that you should get checked.

Neither is fun,i see teenage girls who look like they are
dying from thin skin wrapped around bone.Yet,they still say they
are fat and don't want to eat.Or they get so hungry, they do eat and it all ends up in the toilet as soon as they finished eating.
A fat person likes to eat but usually to get full so they eat filling foods eg.Hamburger,fries,take=out.
They need to fill that void, usually problems at home, being homeless.Their are so many reasons.

Neither. get help either way.
Being fat is unhealthy and an eating disorder could cause long term harm even death,,,
I have to add to those who are fat and saying its' ok it's not. heart disease, diabetes etc. Being fat is just as bad as being Anorexic or Bulimic.
