Most Canadians don't wear shoes in homes. It is so much cleaner. It only makes sense.

Generally, yes - but this is the case in many cultures and religions - especially througout Asia, the far east, south east, middle east, and Africa.
Shoes bring in all sorts of gunk from the floor - (kind of like the 3 second rule when you're eating - it exists for a reason, because the ground is generally quite gross). It's polite in many cultures to leave your shoes as the door, so as to leave the dirt at the door, as well. The home means different things for people, and often contains sacred spots and a comfortable, clean atmosphere - no nead for dirt and gunk to contaminate.

Yes, it is wrong to wear shoes in a Muslim home. Muslims pray on the floor in their homes--so its important for the home to be clean.

As far as I know, it is indeed customary not to wear shoes in a Muslim's house..
Muslim believes in cleanliness.. Thus, when you are wearing shoes in the house, you are somehow bringing in the dirt and will just mess up the flooring with your shoeprints and all..
Imagine you have your own house and you have guests travelling from backpacking and stuff.. Would you like them to enter your house with all the mud still stuck on their shoes??
I doubt so... I believe you get what I'm trying to point out here..
Cheers... (",)

Not really,
but it is forbidden to take shoes at the place where normally they pray.
This is only becasue of the filth coming in with the shoes when muslims needs clean and pure place to pray.
Thats it.

I think it wrong to wear shoes in anyones house if they don't want you to. I know a lot of nonmuslims that ask people to take their shoes off. Just do whatever the person that owns the house ask you to if they say keep it on do if they say take them off take them off.
