a little bit about him:
he is into video games like san andreas but i dont think a video game is in my budget
he sometimes watches movies mostly horror movies
he is usually outside playing basket ball but i thiink he has a basketball already
My gift idea was to get a white basket with tissue paper and have a happy birthday balloon on it with a teddy bear in it holding a picture of me and him at the beach in it but i told my friend to use it and her boyfriend is his cousin and they would notice especially since they live in the same building
please help me i would really appreciate it!! his birthday is next week and i have to come up with somthing

you can find discount video games on ebay, amazon, pawn shops, video games stores like eb games and game spot. if he likes disgusting, violent games like san andreas, try The Godfather. Or get a t-shirt of his favorite basketball team; be sure to get the right size- most guys like to wear XXL. suprise him and make him his favorite dinner/dessert. he doesn't sound like the stuffed animal type, so it probably wouldn't be a good idea to give him a teddy bear. the picture is a nice idea. a homemade frame would be even better (nothing too girly, tho).

Well it seems to me if I was you and on a limited budget. I would get together a pic nic basket with his favorite food and take him down to the beach and find a secluded spot and have a midnight pic nic after which you can do what ever it is the two of you do when you are alone.You know it is not about how much money one spends , it is about the amount of thought one puts into it.As John Lennon once said , "the best things in life are free".By the way the teddy bear thing is something a girl would love but no so much a man.

A few options:
1. Take him out for a nice meal or make him a nice meal.
2. Search the bargain DVD bins and get him a stack of old horror movies (I am a big horror fan, if my girl did that I'd be so happy).
3. Clothing, make sure it is something that he will like!
4. Gift certificate for a sports store or video store.
5. Concert tickets?
6. Game tickets?
7. Just take him out in general, movie, light meal....sorta like a "special" date.

I think you are on the right track thinking about doing something special and unique. How about making a little collage or scrap book about him or about your relationship. Make him a special dinner and give it to him while you are having desert. This sort of stuff means a lot because it comes from the heart.
You might also thing about taking him on a scavenger hunt or some sort of adventure..something mysterious and fun... then giving him a thoughtful and personal gift.

how long have you been going together?
If a long time something personal if not go the safe option and go something a bit 'safer'
Teddy bears and balloons might scare him off.
sometimes aftershave or just the photo in a frame without all the fluffy things?

well guys dont like bears that much or baskets why dont you get him that white basket a basketball and put happy birthday from (your name) and get him a little stuff animal thats soft and put the pic in there and put a little piece of paper in there and say ill give you a kiss later that is if yall kiss if not give him a little peck on the lips unless if its to early i hope for the best

Get him a gift certificate and then take him to dinner and a movie. I always like that. Also, flowers for a guy are way cool! It sounds totally gay, but it's really not - when it's between significant others.

you should find out his fave tv show & get him the dvd of it. don't get him a stuffed animal, boys have no idea what to do with them and will throw it out eventually.
Or you could make him a memory box of your time together - movie tickets, photos, write him a poem. Personal presents are great when you don't have much money.
Or you could make him a box filled with his favourite things - fave chocolate bar, ice cream etc.
