I am 25, he is 36. And since he told me he has either totally avoided me or has been acting strange. I told him that I loved him too. He suffers from mild depression, I thought that might be a part of it. I called him a few days ago to see if he was okay, but he couldn't talk right then and firmly told me that he would call me later. I am still waiting. He works 80+ hours, 6 days a week, so normally we only talk on his day off. He is old-fashioned (i.e. he likes to pursue) so I do not know how to proceed. I want to call him again, but since he is old-fashioned I don't know what is appropriate. What do you recommend I do?

It sounds like he's married. That would be the reason for his not wanting you to contact him. His wife might answer the phone.

He probably does not work 80 hours a week.
He is more than likely with his wife, so she doesn't get suspicious.

Many depressed men cheat on their wives. They are trying to make themselves feel better by having sex with a younger female.

I wouldn't trust this guy as far as I could throw him.

Everything he is saying is SO typical of a married man who wants a little action with a younger girl.

As soon as you told him that you loved him, he paniced. He doesn't want you to do something that would cause his wife to find out.

Your loving him, means to HIM, you'll be calling him at home.
That's dangerous. His wife could and probably WOULD catch on really fast.
She could sue him for everything he owns.
