I see questions about this Krystal place on here. What is it? What kind of food do they have? Is it good? Where are they located? Where's the closest one to Maine? The most detailed answer gets 10 points!

Krystal is a small hamburger kind of like White Castle...They are especially good at 3:00 in the morning if you are drunk on your butt... yum---Do not eat when sober or during broad day light---LOL--Ich liebe dich, auch.

Krystal's is a hamburger chain, somewhat like White Castle. They started in the South, so you may not see one very close to Maine yet.

Their main seller is the Krystal burger, which is a very thin beef patty covered with a few diced onions, pickle, ketchup and mustard. The bun is steamed, and the whole thing is served in a small cardboard box. You can order them by the dozen. There are also cheese Krystals and bacon cheese Krystals. Also, they serve a mini-corndog called a Corn Pup and pretty decent chili.

Krystal's has recently been adding bigger burgers to their menu, plus chicken sandwiches called Krystal Chix.

The Krystal's near my house in Alabama is open 24 hours, which is a plus. I'm not crazy about the food quality in general, though. The fries are usually undercooked and soggy, and you need to eat at least 4 burgers to feel full. The bigger burgers are good, and the chicken sandwiches are not bad.

Krystal is a hamburger.

If you have or are familiar with White Castle (slider) they are very similar.

The Krystal burger is small with a square burger and a square bun. You can eat several of them. Krystal started in Chattanooga Tennessee. For years Krystal & White Castle stayed away from each others turf. Now they overlap in a couple cities. Nashville TN is lucky because they have their choice.

About the only difference in the two is White Castle burgers have five holes in the pattie. To make them cook better White Castle claims. My theory is they are there to save meat.

They are open 24 hours.

Krystal is the southern version of white castle, a burger chain famous for small square hamburgers. They are really quite good... they also serve:

Chili pups (tiny chili dogs)
Corn Pups (Tiny corn dogs)
Chili cheese fries
Krystal Chicks (tiny square chicken sandwiches)
and the B.A. Burger, which has gone in the other direction (Ginormous burgers) to keep pace with the Hardee's Monster burgers and the new BK line of 'Stackers' If this trend continues, one day you will need to rent a U-Haul to take supper home from the drive-thru.

My first one was first day we moved to Ga.,and they are so good and steamy.The little square bun is so soft and always hot!They always have mustard,onion and pickles on them.I guess you could order differently,but why! My two sisters and I went to Krystal the other night,late,after a little Bday part.I ate two cheese Krystals and a Krystal-chik,before I got to the third red light!!They wanted the big bag,they are cheap,..but I was scraping change from all over the car. as it was.Stop your car if you travel to the south-east!!!Don't eat too many..we all know the consequences,and in that case,everybody jump out of the car!!lol...

Krystal is a eating place where u conversate, get food, do anything! you can go by their drive-thru if u r in a hurry. The closest one to Maine? i dunno, but its a great place to have fun.
