I know that Gypsies usually adopt the religion of the country that they reside in(usually Christian or Muslim), perhaps in order to avoid persecution in those countries, but, what exactly are the religious beliefs of Gypsies in & amongst themselves?

"Roma religion has a highly developed sense of morality, taboos, and the supernatural, though it is often denigrated by organized religions. It has been suggested that while still in India the Roma people belonged to the Hindu religion, this theory being supported by the Romani word for "cross", trushul, which is the word which describes Shiva's trident (Trishula)." - quote from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roma_people#Religion

Gypsies are traveling vagabonds and are extremely clannish only trusting in each clan. They have a Gypsy King that governs their individual clans, and there is a head Gypsy King of all the clans.
Their religions vary from Catholic to Muslim.
Unfortunately, they don't like to work and make their money through scams, pickpocketing and thievery.

They are just spiritual people
They will take on a religion as an experience
But I think they will always stay with their own knowing and belief.
