I wrote this one myself

Go ahead, make us undocumented immigrants.
For heaven's walls don't ask for visas.

Go ahead, make us illegal immigrants.
For on judgement day,
he won't ask your country of origin.

Go ahead, make me an illegal alien
You can have your 100 years of pseudo-eternal, mortal fun.
Selfishly.

Go ahead, deport me away from my family.
For when god turns you down at the gate,
you'll be faced with your miserable fate.
And when the tables are turned,

I'll have the last laugh.
And a long laugh it'll be.

Didn't God have boundaries for his people?
Didn't foreigners who came to stay with them have to follow those laws?

Should you be using God for Your cause?

Verse one :You made yourself an undocumented worker. Your deeds are your visa to get into heaven.

Verse two : You made the decision to become an illegal immigrant. He wont ask of anything, he knows all. It will be YOU who will stand before the lord and explain why you chose to covet what was thy neighbors. An infraction of one of the ten commandments. Mind you ..they are called the ten commandments..not the ten suggestions.

Verse Three : Again you have turned yourself into an illegal. It was of your choice. And who is being selfish? You, who selfishly cut in line and disobey Americas laws.

Verse Four : Your family is in another country. had you chosen the right path you would not be fearful, are you making plans to sneak into heaven now too?

Verse Five : You will not be laughing about anything. There will be no memory of any part of earth or the inhabitants there of if you make it into heaven.

The poem is awful. It's poorly written and has no flow. I see your point though.

Don't be too angry at the anti-immigrant crowd. They're really doing the same thing as you: protecting what they feel belongs to them. Their fears may be unjustified, but lashing out at them won't illustrate this. Take a different approach and be the better person. It's the only way you'll overcome.

COMMON PEOPLE!
Do you really think "God" has an agenda against illegal immigration in the US???

I see your point.

And God will say "Good for you for breaking the law to sneak across the border, and steal education and services paid for by others whose own children thereby forgo decent education! And I'm really proud of you for stealing that identity so that poor kid whose identity you stole had his credit ruined! And that driving without a license or insurance just makes me feel warm inside!"

And why wouldn't you take your family with you? Aren't you the one who is responsible for them?

I don't know what His views would be, and I am sure He would do it much better than we. But I do know he said that you should follow the laws of the country. I wonder how you rhyme that away.

You guys have tried every other ridiculous tactic, try God next, huh?

I love poetry, I write a lot of it myself and I applaud your effort but it's still not right to allow illegals in this country by the millions to take from the citizens who were here before them.

It's a poem depicting the trials of the illegal immigrant and if you like it, that's all that matters.

My recommendation is that you write one about the human side of ugliness. I guarantee you it will be a testimonial to every person who answered your post with an ugly slant. They will relate then. Try it. Take heart. I respect your effort at writing something that speaks to YOU. Godspeed.

Why don't you go through the process of becoming a legal citizen? I don't think the U.S. law makers will go to hell because they made a law. Of course heaven doesn't have immigrant laws.
If you are an illegal alien, you made yourself that way. The law existed before you did.

I personally think it sucks. Illegal immigration is well, illegal. Does the bible not say"follow the laws of the land"? So do it, and quit complaining and just shut up about it.

There was a young man from Mexico,
who just happened to be named Pedro,
came across the US border,
with some drugs from an order,
and got busted in Texas by Waco!

Thank you... thank you verrrry much!!

I don't believe the author read the part in the Bible about God (capital G for God) saying they need to follow leaders rules.
