Sounds like a tension headache. Have you taken anything for it? I know that when i was pregnant I used to have horrible tension headaches and couldn't take anything so my doctor told me to put a very hot hand towel into a small plastic bad and lay it across my forehead and lay down. I would usually end up falling asleep and by the time I woke up the headache was gone. It worked really well for me. I hope it will work for you. Headaches like that are terrible! I really feel for you.

You didn't mention what you've done to try and get the headache out. Have you taken Advil or something else? Since you said you have a pain in your neck you could have pinched a nerve or something. Try seeing a chiropractor tomorrow - they can definitely help with most any kind of headache. In the meantime, try putting heat on your neck for 15 minutes, and then put ice on your neck for 15 minutes. Keep doing that once an hour for several hours and that should help some.
I get headaches all the time and sometimes migraines. The triggers are different for different people. So I definitely sympathize. Good luck - hope it goes away soon!

There are lots of causes for headaches, so hard to say. Stress? Over-exerting yourself while exercising? Food allergies? Lack of sleep? Dehydration?
I used to get headaches a couple times a week. I burned out my stomach taking aspirin, and I'm allergic to ibuprofen, so I had to switch to tylenol, which didn't do much. I would end up taking 8 tyle's which is the recommended max dose.
I read a book which talks about how many toxins are in the food we eat, and recommended changing your diet to organic and whole grain foods. So I made some big changes in what I eat.
Since then I've only had a few headaches, and they've gone away all by themselves by eating good food, and drinking filtered water.
I know how awful headaches can be, I hope yours goes away soon!

do you normally drink coffee or a caffeine product such as coke and you have maybe gone without it today or part of the day? This can cause a headache. If this is the case drink a cup of coffee or coke and your headache will go away. Maybe your low on water or salt. Make a mixture with a dash of salt to a cup of water and drink the icky concoction or you need to eat something sunstantial and not a snack. Also drinking too much water can cause a headache as it can upset the balance of nutrients in your body. This is usually in extreme cases but this is why people in hotter cities with extreme temputures are prescribed salt pills.

Try taking a warm shower and let the water run on your neck. I get migraines and tension headaches and this does help sometimes. Also, try taking a couple Tylenol PM tablets and go to bed. That usually does wonders.

Excedrin or most stores have an off brand that says something like headache relief. I usually take four with a caffinated beverage and feel better in about thirty minutes.

Sounds like a migrain. They can last as long as a few days but hopefully not. Go lay down in a dark quit room with a fan. Wet a cool wash cloth and lay it on your forehesd and over your eyes. That is what always helps me when nothing else will. And aleeve.

Most headaches are caused by dehydration. Drink lots of water, every day, even if you don't have a headache!

Oh I hate bad headaches, I get them alot, kinda sinusy, neck, face, top of head, temples ones. I have TMJ and alot of fluid retention from lymphedema.
The best ways I found to get rid of them is take a muscle relaxer type med that reduces inflammation, like ibuprofen, advil. You can take more than 1 advil, the prescription brand of ibuprofen goes up to 1,000 mg, the advil tablets over counter are 200mg, you can safely take 3 to make 600mg because of the other ingredients in overcounter ones I would not take together more than 3. Get a hot pack, put it on your neck/upper back, ice pack on the base of the skull and forehead, lay down in a dark quiet room, close your eyes, try to sleep or just meditate, pretend you are somewhere relaxing. If you can get someone to massage your head/neck/shoulders it helps too, to work on the trigger points. Sometimes muscle spasms cause blood vessels to spasm or constrict as well, heat and massage help to circulate and loosen them, the ice reduces inflammation as well as the advil. You might have a misalignment in your neck, those hurt! I get one under the jaw C2 that goes out sometimes and it's awful. A chiropractor can help that.
Also if you have anything menthol, mineral ice, even vix vaporub, if you put just a teeny bit on the top of the neck, base of skull with the ice it can help alot. I use biofreeze, which is menthol based.
Try soaking in a warm bath too, listen to music, whatever relaxes you. Stretches to your neck under a warm shower can be good too. Try to touch your chin to your chest, then lean your head back as far as you can looking upward at the ceiling, try to touch each ear to your shoulder too. Another good muscle stretch/relaxer is to bend at the waist as if you were going to touch your toes, and just let your arms hang, it helps the shoulder muscles, the traps, scapulae, to relax.

Put an ice pack over the back of your head and neck and take a dose of the strongest pain reliever you have around the house.
If that doesn't work then you need to see the doctor.
