my windows xp is not at all acessible i tried all the techniques during start up.... f8 safemode, restore mode..etc.. it didn't work, i can only access the files on the xp when i run win 98, my other os, but how can i erase them all without having the feeling that my win 98 or my computer might crash? is there a way? by the way, My drive C was partitioned on win 98 and my drive D was partitioned on win xp, can i just format my drive D instead? or can i just erase all the files including the win xp files in drive D? but when i do that, will i have to set the new os (im planning to use win xp service pack 3) on a new partition or not anymore?

The best thing to do is factory restore your pc, it erases your whole hard drive and you must back up your files though. You will have your computer just like when you first bought it. Any questions, IM or e-mail me.

you will have to format the drive, then reinstall

choose which drive to boot from from the startup menu (hold f6 (i think) on startup)
