One strong emotional reason is that so many of us are children or grandchildren of immigrants and know the gauntlet they had to run to enter U.S. legally. They truly wanted to be Americans, which is why they came here.
The illegals have no such romantic notion, all they want is more than they had in the country they lived in. And having been pampered by those who want to exploit them they believe they actually have the "right" to go wherever they wish, laws have no meaning to them.
Many of them turn out to be stellar citizens and all that - but the fact is, entering illegally is a crime. Enter and stay in other countries illegally and you will suffer. Especially in Mexico! Here, American lawyers work against the best interests of the U.S. to make a few bucks on the poor people involved.
Also, they cost the state a great deal of money, and now have the unmitigated gall to say they have a "right" to be and stay here, and demonstrate against those who want them to go home and start legal immigration processes.

The reason Americans complain so much about illegal aliens is because they think they do not have to obey our laws. The main word here is "illegal". Illegals feel they are above the law. They broke the law to get here and they continue to break the law once they are here. Driving without licenses, no insurance.... etc. They also do not want to pay taxes but, they are the first in line to get free health care and food stamps. Perks which hard working American taxpayers bear the brunt of. Anyone ever go to Dalton, GA and try to go shopping? It is gang city now. Check out how many gang related drive by shootings they had last week. Go to any store there and try to shop. These people are rude and belligerent and act like they own it all. Just like going to a neighbors house..... you don't go in and act like it is yours. U have respect because you have no right to be there in the first place if you aren't invited. And another thing they should not be allowed to walk all over decent hard working people who have been waiting years and spent thousands of dollars to come here. Ship em all back....

Think of it this way (it is a gross generalization, but it gets the point across) - Americans have a high standard of living; illegal immigrants have a low standard of living. As the illegal immigrants' standard of living rises, the Americans' standard of living falls.

Note: It is not just Americans who complain - every First World country is faced with an influx of illegal aliens from Third World countries. As a mater of fact, even Third world countries are complaining about illegal aliens from even less prosperous Third World countries.

Because they are taking our jobs away from us. Illegal immigrants will work for less wages. For instance, if I'm an employer and I have 20 applicants to work in my business, the business is (hard labor). 15 of the applicants have experience in doing the exact (hard labor) I want done. 5 of them have no experience. The 15 want $20 bucks an hour as that's what they are used to making. 3 of the other 5 want $10 bucks an hour as they have less experience. 2 of them only want $5 bucks an hour as they are illegal immigrants. So I hire for the one position, two hands at $5 bucks an hour. I get more work done with two illegal immigrants doing it, they dont' say anything to anyone about me only paying them $5 bucks an hour because if they do, they know I will fire thier @sses and send the police to take them back to Mexico.
Illegal Immigration is just bad business. That's why! I'm wondering if you have any other questions. Please tell me you have a question that actually takes some thought to answer. Otherwise, get off YAHOO ANSWERS!

They complain about a plethora of issues.

But the real reason is fear. The fear of differences, religion, cultural differences, they dont look or act like us, they speak different language and eventually the take over of this country.

But funny thing is that this country was founded by immigrants, seeking a better life and runaway from an oppressive government, sound familiar?

True, the migrants coming here illegally are different, in the sense that they are breaking the law, but in many ways its for the same reasons.

They come here for a better life and running away from an oppressive govt. I see it as a human rights issue. Human rights refers to the concept of human beings as having universal rights, or status, regardless of legal jurisdiction or other localizing factors, such as ethnicity and nationality. They all deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.

You don't see that here, its bashing and degrading this group of people who just come here to seek a better life, something their own ancestors did at one point or another. I know some do come here to cause harm, but the majority do not. The majority just come here to eek out a living, so to this I say, live and let live!

I complain about illegal immigrants because of the obvious reprecussions of them flooding my area. Social Services in the Los Angeles area are in dissarray by people who do not pay taxes but receive benefits. They live in shanty towns with 20 people in a house. That is not a good enviroment for kids to be brought up in. Perhaps that is why the Latino race here in the Los Angeles area is on the top of the drop out list. Thats why they turn to gangs. I'm not racist at all, but none of this is BS. Don't beleive me? Come down to sunny southern california and I will show you these shanty towns and the social security office etc.

It is all about money. They think illegal immigrants are taking away their jobs and medicare. Just imagine if you deport all illegal immigrants, we would have much smaller workforce. There will be over 10 million vacant positions, 10 million less spending, and 10 million less in medicare. Is this a good policy to go for, greatly shrinking our economy. And who is going to repay the money those illegal immigrants owe. If we deport them, they will not even think about paying back the money. How much money would we loss, and how many more legal workers will lose their job because we are moving into another great depression.

If breaking the law is alright with you then so be it. Why should people who want to come here legally wait in line for a year or more, follow all the rules and regulations, pay the fees, learn English, undergo medical tests, etc. while the illegals just crash in. I don't blame them. I am against the companies that hire them as they are looking to make a quick buck. The whole problem is only good for the companies not for anyone else.

Illegal immigrants are the unemployed or those working with low wages. Thus, they are the ones who look for other opportunities in order to have money by becoming part of the syndicates and develop into criminals. Others go to prostitution, gambling and drugs. So, immigration should be regulated.
