Section your hair into 2 sections (top & bottom) tie bottom section in a ponytail using a scrunchie, NEVER use an elastic band its damages your hair, then cover bottom half with either tin foil or cling film to protect it from any drips of the blonde hair dye you will be using on top section. Dye top section blonde & dry when complete then tie top section in a pony tail & remove tin foil or cling film from bottom section & repeat steps using brown dye. Always use an intensive conditioner on your hair after dying it, John Frieda Born Blonde range is fabulous.

just treat it like 2 different dye jobs, do the top of your head with the blonde first, then rinse. Then do the bottom with the brown. But why would you want to do two-tone like that, wht not light brown with blonde highlights or all blonde? They have highlighting kits at all major stores. Two-toned just looks cheap to me and highlighting is so much more in style, Good luck girl.

if i get what you mean, you want to have blonde hair on the top LAYER and brown on the bottom LAYER.
Put you hair in a half ponytail (like those thing we used to do in the 90's) and then tie the bottom half in a ponytail as well (a separate one)
then dye whichever half you in the colors you want!

Take the bottom half of your hair and put it back into a pony tail. then cover it with some type of baggie. Color the top. When done, pull up top and undo bottom, then do that. Hope this helps

Then if you dont have 4 hands, have a girlfriend who is able to follow verbal directions and not an airhead who will be like Paris Hilton or Nicole Richie on T.V. Otherwise you will then pay to correct a mess. It will be hard by yourself. You dont have eyes in the back of your head to see and create a straight line. Have your mom help you, unless she doesnt have time or is a diz also.

path your hair where you want the colors to be separated..(a chocolate brown looks good in that style)..
then dye the bottom half in the brown..tie the top very tight while doing this...so nothing runs....then wash it out...dry the bottom..no heat..just towel it and let it air dry.don't want u to get a headache..then bend down slightly and do the top make sure nothing runs down..that's why your bending down...then.after the time is up .while still bending down wash the top..don't mesh together just yet...dry the bottom..sep...then the top..

Don't do it. It's not even in anymore. It just looks bad. Just dye your hair a natural color, like blonde or brown.
