Chocolate Soda
How to make chocolate soda:
Delicious chocolate drink.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons cold chocolate syrup or to taste
1 teaspoon milk
half cup carbonated water
1 large scoop chocolate or vanilla ice cream
grated nutmeg
(see measure conversions for more information)
Method
- Mix the chocolate syrup with the milk.
- Add half of the water.
- Add the ice cream and then the rest of the water.
- Sprinkle with nutmeg if liked.

My grandmother used to make these for us years ago
and they are great!
Chocoate Sodas!
In a tall glass pour some chocolate syrup (4-5 Tb)
then add the same amount of cream
stir together
Fill glass 3/4 with Soda water
Add 2 med.Scoops of Chocolate or vanilla ice cream
Put in a straw and enjoy! YUM!

A chocolate soda would be chocolate syrup and seltzer. A chocolate "egg cream" would be a splash of milk, chocolate syrup, and seltzer.
(Btw, a chocolate soda does *not* have ice cream in it -- that would be a "chocolate ice cream soda" which is very tasty, but a different thing!)

Soda water, ice cream, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, with a cherry on top. Recipe below adds vanilla extract, but I don't.

To the best of my memory
the black cow was vanella ice cream and chocolat surip and soda water or a type of co2 water.
then there was the plane chocolat sode at the soda fountain.
this was the chocolat surip and a bit of milk and the co2 sodaa water
then yoo hoo and that is still on the market today

Yeah, seltzer water, chocolate syrup & vanilla ice cream. I still get them. (The one without the ice cream is an "egg cream', but with a little milk.)
