when is american people going to wake up... when i ask someone what nqtionality are they, they say i am polish and irish, or german and italian, or mexican and black or whatever, if they were kicking out you guys parents and grandparents you guys would be upset, everybody who comes here is related to an immigrant whether present or past. People come here for a reason sometimes they come illegally but if they tried to come legal im sure america would kick them back over the border... nothing is wrong with immigrants, they are doing certain jobs for minimum wage that americans will not work for im sure of, they are helping the economy, so leave them alone

If you are asking about people who obtained a visa, came legally and stayed only as long as the visa (or any legal extension) allowed, they are welcome.
If you are asking about people who came legally and overstayed, they are illegal immigrants just as much as those who came illegally across the border. The big problem is use of education and other services we pay for for the poor, not how you got here to use them.
I think we need to secure the border and start deporting those who commit other crimes, across the board. That will give us time to discuss other points. However, there is no desire to talk about amnesty or guest workers while more people illegally flood across the border every day.

If you look at it, we all are immigrants. But in truth, we should all be empathetic. People who risk their lives to work for our country deserve a place in this country. I know that it is against the law, but I say that they are doing the wrong thing for the right reason. Mexico will take a while to clean up. It is not the nicest place right now, so people look at America as a beacon of light. Yes, there are some bad people coming from there, but they don't represent everybody. There are more hardworkers, than troublemakers.

The government should support the immigration of people to America. They should allow those who have legitimate purposes and stop those who have no definite agenda.
Remember that it was the immigrants who made America a great country. Thus, addressing the problem of immigration is significant. In the light of the foregoing, the government should provide jobs to immigrants and educate the immigrants!!!

If they are legal immigrates then yes the governor of each state should put in programs that will ease the transition of these new settlers to our land. But if they are illegal then of course the Governor won't and shouldn't do anything to help them. That's just the way it is.

well I think if america wants to get anal on the mexican border , than they also need to take a hard turn to all the illegals that are coming in from cuba,dominican republic,haiti, etc; Once they step on this dry land ,they have families who are already connected in the community to help them get amnesty and become republicans.Florida has the highest rate for cuban republicians ...........so basically its about how the government can get the most votes out of these people, that's why they can claim political amnesty the minute they set foot on shore.

I believe that we should get rid of the illegals. But i think it would help if all the annoying people out there would stop saying "oh well we were all immigrants and we should let them come". You know what fine let them come but let them come legally! You know we do have laws and they should be upheld!

I think it's gotten out-of-control. If circumstances in people's home countries are that bad, they need to DO something about them rather than just 'run for the border' etc.

People who want to immigrate to the US should do so withing the system.
The Mexican goverment is the one that should help Mexicans.

Help illegal immigrants? Well, suppose we could lay on Greyhound buses ... to take them back ... would be cheaper in the long run than supporting them here ...
