Im 18 years old and just finished my high school. Now im taking pre-university programe that is known as Higher School Certificate(HSC) from New South Wales University,Australia. The problem im facing now is i hate the lecturer. Its because she scoled me in the crowd. She told WHAT KIND OF PERSON YOU ARE? Hence she scoled my parents that YOU DO KNOW TO TEACH YOUR SON? WHAT ARE YOU DOING AT HOME? and etc. I know she scoled me because she wants me to be a good student. But this is not the right way. I cant do anything to her because she is the head of HSC programe. So what should i do now? Should i drop my course? How am i going to explain to my parents that i can study at this college? They put so much hope on me. This will make them to drop their confident on me. If i drop out what course can i take in order to do Medicine? Please help me ,i should teach her a lesson that i can be success person one day. I really bag. I really mean it.

Wow, harin, what a dilemma!!! Can you talk to your parents first and explain what you have said here and ask them to help you with your decision? The only other thing that I can suggest, and it would be so hard (but an incredible testimony of guts and patience and tenacity) go to the teacher, tell her that you understand that she probably wants you to be the best you can be and then tell her how her actions made you feel, but that in spite of that you want to learn everything from her that you can.
There is an old saying, "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." IF you can go ahead and take her course for the year, it is over, and you move ahead. One of the things you will take into life with you is how to get along with difficult people. I wish you all the best. Be a success in spite of the hurtful and embarrassing things she said. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!

simply look her in the eyes and tell her you didnt like the way she handled that, tell her if she wants to scole you,she is to do that in private away from the class...and if it happens again you will take it to the highest of high (whatever that is:her boss, school board,exc...) and make sure to say it in a calm yet demanding voice so she knows you are for real but not threatening her at the same time...

No you shouldn't act an a** because your teacher wants to . You can teach her a lesson by becoming a real student instead of a uncooperative brat . Just do what you do best , go to school and avoid conflict with your professor .

Truthfully what you need to do is stay in this class, to show this professor that you can make it. It doesn't matter if she pointed you out among the rest. This only gives you the opportunity to let her know you are stronger then what she believes you to be, and in time this will prove to her that she was wrong about the comment she had stated against you. Trust me this will help you achieve your accomplishments it will also help you boost your self-esteem. Good luck in everything you do.

It doesn't matter whether you like the teacher, and it doesn't matter whether the teacher likes you. What does matter is your education. So, ignore her bad manners, and study hard. Pass the course, that will teach her the lesson that you want to teach her, that you will be a success. Good luck.
