Why do you assume I'm talking about Mexico? There are other other countries where people are considered "illegale aliens"

Maybe we should depart all these illegal baseball players working here in the US? Oh whoa man, don't say THAT!

It is 100% legitimate to flee a country that is unlivable due to trade agreements with the neighboring "parent" state, the global superpower, who has exploited your country. People come here to be exploited by our exploitive system and are, we allow thier labor value to come, we just don't want them to come... duh.
If employing "illegals" is OK, then so is granting equal rights to those who we exploit.

What about it, deport Papi? Hmmm fellas?

They would initially be taken into custody and if their legitimate reason is also a lawful reason, then it may lead to their release or deportation.

It's similar to you being discovered in the neighborhood pizza parlor at 3 a.m. after closing hours because the alarm went off and you don't work there. Initially it looks like you're a burglar. If you have a plausable innocent explanation for being there, then you earn your freedom. If you just happen to be (legitimately) the replacement janitor that night and it's your first time in the building and didn't know how to shut of the alarm then that's a good thing for you, if you can also prove it. Same with that illegal immigrant.

LOL The only legitimate reason for someone to come here illegally would be because they are running from someone who is in an illegitimate business. Then, they should not run to the US as it brings people with illegitimate business to the US. I recommend you take your illegitimate @ss to South America. They love your type down there. I heard the weather was great this time of year!

If they have a claim for asylum they should go to an embassy and make that claim. Certainly there are reasons for coming, and it doesn't have to be illegal.

In fact, I strongly suggest it be done on the up and up, or it might impact your asylum claim.

If you don't have an asylum claim, you don't have sufficient reason to come illegally, either.

Enlightenment, we don't control Wal-Mart any more than you do. We do pay for the schools and health services, however, and Wal-Mart doesn't. So we have a right to say how many, and who can come.

Legitimate. Illegal. Sounds like an illegitimate marriage of terms, a contradiction.

Everyone who commits a crime believes they have a legitimate reason for doing so. I was speeding because I was late for work. I had to rob that store because I needed money for medicine for my ailing grandmother. I had to shoot that person because he looked at me funny.

I don't buy it. As a so-called civilized society, we have rules and regulations (laws) that govern how we live and conduct our daily lives within our society's structure. If a law is bad, get it changed. If you don't want to work within the system, be prepared to accept the punishment that the system (your peers) deems to be just.

There's never a reason to come here illegally ... if someone is under death threat or if they're political refugees, they will be given asylum ... that's a whole different ballgame ...

I don't think there is one. If someone's trying to escape persecution/death in their home country, that's called a 'refugee' and it's a different situation from normal immigration. I think that's dealt with case-by-case, though...still has to be official, still has to be 'on paper'...
