Is it true that if u wrap a rubber band around a pit bulls ears , that , that is one way u can clip his ears off? i told my friend he was an idiot when he told me that. who agrees that my friend is an idiot?

I think the idea behind wrapping a rubber band around the ears is to cut off the circulation so the ears eventually just fall off, but I kind of doubt they will look very good in the end, so I would have to agree with you that your friend is an idiot for wanting to make your dogs ear's look ugly.

Its true, but not a good way to do it!!! The vet is the best way to get it done!! So your friends is not a idiot, plus they also put a rubber band around a dogs tail to make it smaller!!!

Unfortunately there are stupid and cruel people in the world who do this. And your friend is an idiot. Clipping dogs' ears is cruel and senseless and purely cosmetic, but if you are absolutely adamant on getting it done then let a vet do it the right way.

OMG......I totally agree with Dr.Brian!! I think your friend is confused, PLUS stupid! I think HE MISUNDERSTOOD!! Tying the dog's ears in a rubber band is more likely to remove his arms, than the dog's ears!!!!

Yeah...you're friend IS an idiot!! Banding is for testicles! It would make a REALLY CRAPPY ear crop. Besides not working,of course. Can't get it tight enough**&** would fold.

I know they use what is called "banding" on farm animals to neuter them, the band cuts off the oxygen, but I won't try it on your dog, you might end up killing him.
