The Lord doesn't take us through deep water to drown us, but rather to develop us.
"My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience."
James1:2-3

God gives us free will. Most often the bad times in our own lives have more to do with our own choices and the consequences of them. The rest of the time it would be the actions of others toward us and the consequences. God never pushes anyone away. Some people choose to blame God for human experiences that we or others choose. That too is free will. As is going to hell for turning from God.

Some say to those suffering adversity that God sends such experiences to teach a lesson, to bring them to their senses. That makes God responsible for the permission of evil and a party to it. Such a teaching is unscriptural and brings much reproach on God’s name. God’s Word says that “with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone,” that is, with evil things. God tests and disciplines, but not by using evil instruments.
Sickness and disease are a chief cause of suffering. Even the young suffer painful diseases, and this is true whether one is righteous or wicked. Why did the righteous suffer, as did other faithful Bible characters? For the same reason that righteous servants of God today do—because of inherited imperfections due to sin.
Except for special instances involving the accomplishment of God’s own purpose, a lot of what happens to individuals from day to day is governed by chance and not by God’s direction. So it is “because time and unforeseen occurrence befall them all” that good people and bad suffer similarly from natural disasters, accidents, fires, and so forth.—Eccl. 9:11.
And finally, no one living today is exempt from the pressures of living in the last days of a wicked system of things. Bible prophecies show that during this time of unprecedented woe, “…critical times hard to deal with will be here.” 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 12, 13
But God has not left us without hope. “Rejoice in the hope ahead. Endure under tribulation. Persevere in prayer.”—Rom. 12:12, NW.

These bad times are chances for you to grow and develop as a person and spiritually. An animal raised in a zoo with everything provided is not as fit as an animal which has survived in the wild. The zoo animal lacks skills, knowledge and experience required to survive.
Likewise a person who has been shielded from life is ill prepared to live independently. A time where everything seems to be working against you and seems to be unbearably terrible while going through it may in retrospect turn out to be the best experience in your life for the lessons that you learned from it.

Because we are not here to just live this mundane life;
we are here to correct ourselves, or at least have the intention to do this.
If you "feel" that your have bad times in your life, remember that is your perception only, yet what you perceive is important. If you only had good things happen to you in your life, when would you look to God to help you or make things better?
Never.....
So the obstacles that you have in your life are for the purpose of bringing you to the see that there is more to your life then, money, family, success, etc.....not that those things are not important....
God is not pushing you away, it is only allowing you to experience "bad times" to wake you up.
So wake up!

He is probably trying to strengthen your relationship with Him. I don't believe God gives people more than they can handle. Don't worry, even if you fail in a time of testing, God still loves you. It is my understanding from the bible that The Father never gives up on loving His children. Part of loving a child is disiplining them. Please don't let negative thinking influence you to give up on God. He will always be there for you and He knows everything about you. Even the hairs on your head are counted.
God bless!

Perhaps it's the guy depicted in horns that wants you to feel pushed away from God. Don't rule out your real enemy.

We learn things from our bad times, don't we? I know I've had my share of them. Not only did I learn that maybe I should reconsider what I'm doing that brought me to that situation but when the good times did come, they were more appreciated and savored.
No one's life is perfect, everyone goes thru something. Its a matter of how we deal with it and how we percieve the situation that makes all the difference.

he's not pushing you away, you are just loosing your trust to him because of the pressure you're under. you can't think strait, so you turn away because you blame him for what has happened to you. but i think that he's "testing" u to see if you will always put your trust in him no matter what you go through.......
--and the devil is the one who temps you, NOT god, and the devil does alot of what happens to u i think..--
god bless!!

god promised us a perfect world, but because we were born into sin, he decided to let us decide wether we wanted to be with him or live in a world full of sin, so i suppose until we all live in god's paradise we will continue to suffer.
god says he will have a war and relieve us all from evil but until that happens we will continue to have pain and death in our lives.
