It is not legitimate to cut off 750,000 people from electricity.

It is not legitimate to call on 20,000 people to run from their homes and turn their towns into ghost towns.

It is not legitimate to penetrate Syria's airspace.

It is not legitimate to kidnap half a government and a quarter of a parliament.

Will the blackout of Gaza bring down the Hamas government or cause the population to rally around it?
And even if the Hamas government falls, as Washington wants, what will happen on the day after?
These are questions for which nobody has any real answers. As usual here: Quiet, we're shooting. But this time they are not only shooting. Israelis are bombing and shelling, darkening and destroying, imposing a siege and kidnapping like the worst of terrorists and nobody breaks the silence to ask, what the hell for, and according to what right?

They have no right. Tell your politicians so. Save some people from the Nazi-like tactics going on in Palestine as we sit.

DBP - you should read some history about the US of A.

Between 1938 and 1941, hundreds of thousands of Jews fled Europe, hoping to escape Nazi persecution. Despite knowing full well the brutality of the Nazis toward the Jews, the U.S. government adhered tightly to its immigration quota system.

In 1939, some 900 Jewish refugees on a ship named the St. Louis wandered in the waters off of Florida and Cuba for a week waiting to get permission to land. Even though 700 of the ship’s passengers had already registered for foreign visas, the U.S. refused to let them land and grant them temporary visas until the quota numbers could become current.

The St. Louis was forced to return to Europe. On the way back, refugee agencies convinced Holland, France, Belgium and Britain to give the passengers sanctuary--but many were later trapped when Germany invaded Western Europe and perished in the Nazi concentration camps.

This is the not-so-proud history of the “land of the free.”

Of course the whole thing is not about the one guy (he's just an excuse) This gives Isreal a thing to point too when things get really rough

Did you know the Vietnam war technically started over a falsified attack on a US ship.

Israel is not going to stop this time. This will result in full scale war between Israel and Hamas. The new PM is eager to flex his muscle and show strength to his people and enemies. This is not all over one kidnapped soldier. It is the tipping point. Israel gave up Gaza and was waiting for a reason to make the bombers, kidnappers, and murderers pay. Israel has come to understand that Hamas will never be satisfied with any concession until Israel is gone. This will never, ever get any better. It will go on forever. I think that Israel realizes that and wants to cripple their enemies ability to strike. Just my take on it.

Have you spent your entire life with your head in your @$$. The Palestinians have bombed, killed, maimed, and disrupted the peaceful life of the Jews for thousands of years. No one, besides the good old U.S. of A., has ever given a crap about the Jews, yet someone finally puts a bunch of terrorist cowards in their place, and your so concerned. If you can't understand the depth of this struggle of good verses evil, don't bother to voice your ignorant opinions. Those criminals have no right to any of that land, especially Jerusalem, and no I'm not Jewish. I'm just sick of people feeling sorry for this band of criminals. Have fun at your next Barbara Streisand concert. LOL

Their people support a terrorist government that has kidnapped a 19 year old for no reason. I wish they would get tougher to prove that they HAVE been nice all along, and that if they really were as bad as the terrorists claim they could have wiped them off the map in a single day.

No, just give the Israelis a reason to hammer the Palestinian Terrorist Government on a daily basis to maintain an upper hand over fanatical Arabs regimes.

No. It probably is also about the rockets fired into civilian neighborhoods - the suicide bombers killing innocent people and all of the other cowardly terrorist acts that it appears are the only thing the Palestinians are capable of.

Maybe the Palestinians should start acting as if they were civilized?

The Israelis seem to have the "swat the mosquito with a sledgehammer" mentality. Palestine is like a scrappy little kid who keeps taunting the big schoolyard bully. The bully just beats the crap out of his tormenter, but the scrappy little kid just gets up, brushes the stones out of his clothes, wipes the blood off his mouth, and keeps coming back for more.............. and more, and more, and more.

When will it end?

Too bad! I hope Israel POUNDS the crap out of 'em!!!
They have every right to defend themselves against a radical, terrorist state that continuously takes pot shots at them! Those radical Islamists have no claim and no right to keep on invading Israel... NONE!
I hope Israel blows them off the face of the Earth, like the Palestinian leader said he wanted to do to Israel! Who is HE to decide to wipe Israel off the planet, huh? Who the f**k made him God to decide such a dastardly deed?
Go Israel go! Pound the crap out of 'em! Blow them to smithereens!!!
