Running outside is it's own treat. I love listening to my MP3 player and running the trails near my house. Find an area you like to see and run by there. Or better yet, get a dog and run with him. Dogs need to get daily excersise, so it'd be great for both of you to take him around the block. Also, it can get a little boring, so don't just run a straight line down your same old street.
Also, look up what you're capable of. When men apply to the military they have to be able to do 14 push ups, but women only have to do 3!! There's differences like that you should look for.

Do you like to dance? Dancing is great exercise. Also riding a bike, going for a hike with a friend. Joining an exercise class is fun if you have a good teacher. Meeting new people there is fun too. If you can't join a class try getting a few friends together and have fun together while you are all getting into great shape!

I just try to keep switching up my exercise routine. I'll go on a jog in the park with a friend, play the Wii Fit, or go to the gym for a swim or the machines. The YMCA has a ton of fun classes, my current favorites are pilates and zumba! I also find that working out with a pal makes it more fun, and try exercising in the morning when you're more alert and ready to commit.

My elliptical is infront of a tv. I borrow movies from the library and watch them 30 minutes at a time over a few days time. I work out every day. I look forward to finishing the movies and it's a nice treat. I also have my leg weights infront of the other TV and instead of snacking at night while I watch a 1/2 hour show, I do leg workouts. My hubby got one to those balance balls and does sit ups in the livingroom now.

Start off by doing an activity you enjoy like hiking or swimming. Don't get over anxious and try to work out everyday; start off trying to do your activity 2-3 times a week. Once this becomes part of your routine, increase the days you work out. Once you see that you can stick to it, try doing some of the more "boring" exercises. Once you start moving, you'll feel great and you'll want to do more. Don't over do it, or you won't keep it up.

Excersizing doesn't have to be push-ups, try dancing or something else you find fun. You can even in role in some dance classes, its a fun great way to stay in shape.

I did it with my kids and they loved it and laughed so hard. Get an exercise tape and use it to get you a program and then find some three to eight year olds to do it with. They don't care if you fart (cracks them up). and it keeps them healthy and fit right along with you.

do like i do, talk, watch t.v., listen to music, look at a loved ones picture, look at magazines, or do anything i enjoy that's easy to do while I'm exercising...you can also exercise with someone so you can talk or listen to music with them so you don't get lonely.
